Chicago Style BBQ — Restaurant in Joliet

This got to be one of the worst places I’ve been to as of today I go there and pay for a half pound tip and quarters get home there literally 3 tips in the quarters and my half tip was not a half tip at all so number 1 on that you will not get another dime from me at all now let’s talk about the environment. I don’t know if those are his sons or his relatives but as I sat in that restaurant today, I listen to him be so rude so disrespectful he was yelling at them they were being called ignorant, and everything else over fries and coleslaw. It was very uncomfortable to sit there and to look at the look on their faces said it all and now I see why he always worked alone because number one he don’t know how to treat nobody and he damn sure don’t know how to talk to anybody not only did he cheat me on my food another customer came in and was complaining about. He didn’t get his link. They gave him his tips, but he did not receive his hotlink and I’m like you know what I’m over and beyond this place I don’t want to come here anymore, so good luck with you guys in the future but you might want to check your food before you ride away to see...

Now I don't like posting stuff like this but today really upset me we drive from Chicago to support this local black business owner my husband and I have been doing for years now he has passed away and I still take my husband's family there today the rib tips for overcooked the owner yelled in front of customers to my deceased husband's auntie it was very rude and very unnecessary we've been there several times we spent over $100 today and mind you we will never return you lost our business respect your customers respect your product not to mention a customer was making racial slurs about Caucasian people and I am Caucasian the owner should never spoke to a woman that way and should have stopped their customer from speaking the way he was in his restaurant I will barbecue my own food before I return...

This place is great. I haven’t had bbq this good since I was a kid in the south. Most places around here miss the mark giving you dry flavorless meat or it’s good but portion size is weak for the price. Not here. I spend $30ish and get a proper plate of juicy tips and seasoned whole wings, chunky fries and hella sides. Service is old school, pop in place your order and wait 30-45, but it’s worth it. Be polite and don’t be a jerk, when you make something this good it takes a minute. Open Monday through Friday so stock up for the weekend. Yeah, it’s that good.
