White Castle — Restaurant in Joliet

When I pulled up, there was only one car in front of me and I was told to wait at the drive-through. When I was ordering The lady kept saying my total after ordering one thing at a time because she thought I was done and I know that’s not how they train there employees so that’s one thing they need to be trained on again. The lady couldn’t hear me as I was ordering so caught an attitude real quick but when I got to the window, she decided to put on a happy face as if she forgot how she was talking to me. As I was waiting for my food, it seemed like it took 10 minutes and it wasn’t even busy and all you saw was the employees standing there talking and not working. Once I got my food the lady forgot to put my zesty sauce in the bag for my onion rings, even though I told her when I was ordering my food and she proceeded to tell me I needed to talk louder when I’m like they need to fix their microphone or something because she was speaking low herself. Once I drove off, I made sure everything was in the bag which it was but once I got home, I noticed my onion rings were super soggy and not fresh and they were not crispy at all. They were all broken up, so I was very disappointed with my food overall the hamburger sliders, taste really bad and the fries just horrible food in general do not come here go to another white castle anywhere but this location. I suggest you guys get new workers or better people that’s going to make the food correctly and know how to talk to customers when they’re ordering and not always saying is that it after every sentence. At this point, it seems like they’re just cooking food and they’re not really caring about their job so this white castle is in desperate need of better work employees and better food. I cannot explain how bad of an experience I had here on Saturday, December 23rd. If I could go negative 10 stars, I would've but I went one star because the burgers were fine. However the service, attitude, lack of communication and lack of apathy knocks 4 stars off immediately.

So the order was as follows: 2 30 pack Crave Cases with Cheese and 1 20 pack Crave Case without Onions along with 3 large fries and 1 medium diet coke.

We got our order 50 minutes later. 20 minutes in, we were told to move ahead from the window since the car behind us just had a 4 slider meal. We waited, and waited and waited with no update other than the guy asking us to move forward.

Eventually, the customer behind us was waiting at the window for his 4 burger meal, never got it, looks like he asked for his money back and he sped off.

After 30 more minutes of waiting, my cousin went inside to see what was going on. I followed 2-3 minutes later with the intention of asking for my money back. My cousin was handed bags and I asked the manager on duty the following: "So when I share my experience with White Castle on how we had to wait 50 minutes for our order what should I tell them you said about it"? She responded with "We were busy". With that response, she never made eye contact with me.

The food was fine, what you expect from White Castle, but the service was HORRIBLE! Just another example of today's lack of customer service & employees that don't care, & managers that don't train properly. There was 1 car in front of me, no customers inside the restaurant (serving drive-thru only) & I sat there waiting for 14 mins for that car to be able to order & move forward. I finally get to the speaker & there's no response. I waited about 2 mins & then I said "hello?"...the employee said, very rudely, give me a couple mins. I waited for another 3 mins, he finally came back on & once I ordered he says, "that it? pull up"...didn't tell me how much, didn't give me an opportunity to say that's all for my order, & was very abrupt! I pulled around & had to wait another 5 mins for 3 cheeseburgers! I'll tell you what, if my boyfriend didn't want that for dinner, I would've screeched out of there, I was so upset - & he never asks me to pick up dinner cause he usually cooks for us so I would've felt bad telling him I didn't get it. And I promise I'm not exaggerating the time cause I watched the clock & my boyfriend called to see if I was OK since it was taking so long.I will never go to that White...
