Little Green Apple — Local services in Joliet

Very disappointing visit to this store today 12/14/2023. While at the register with the cashier, checking out, another customer asked a question. The cashier just walked away from servicing me, without an excuse me, to help the other customer. She should have actually finished with me and asked the other customer to please wait for a few until she was done helping me. I waited patiently until she returned, which was approximately 3 minutes later. When she returned and asked for my phone number, she couldn't find it, although I've shopped at this very store location for the past 6 years, most recently on 12/6/2023 and my number was located on that date. She asked for another number... not found, which I knew would be the case. She asked for my name... still nothing. Then I provided her the coupon with my name and customer ID and when she entered that info, is when she realized that her computer was down and wasn't accepting any input. Switched to a different computer and the same cashier continued to have issues. Ultimately, it was human error on behalf of the cashier. I mentioned that my experience in the store today hasn't been the best, which was acknowledged and agreed by a different cashier, who had us move to the other register. I never received an apology from the person helping me... no thank you for my patience... no acknowledgment of multiple mishaps. I asked her to go over the transaction to make sure I wasn't being charged for more cards than I purchased, because I could see them ringing up on my side her response was they weren't showing as rung up on her end. But when I insisted on her counting the cards, she actually did ring up one more card than I purchased. Poor customer service and truly a lack of appreciation for my business. Today is the last time I will patronize this...

Not helpful! They had 4 girls working and 1 other customer. I was looking for 2 other parts to a Christmas set. Stood at the counter and waited to be told she "couldn't check any other stores for me because I need the item#". I guess the computer in front of her must have been for auto parts... I put back the others, walked out to the car and called 2 other stores myself. Went to Ginny's Hallmark in Naperville and bought what I wanted and several other ornaments also. They checked to see that they had them while on the phone and then held them for us. In short Amy's doesn't need...

Beautiful store. I'm always greeted soon as I enter, and the staff has been helpful. I don't believe Hallmark is owned by Disney, but it has that Disney feel the way everything is laid out and maintained. The products all feel solid, well-made and the selection is lovely.

It is a little more pricey than the Kohl's or the Target which are nearby, but I often come to this Hallmark when I'm looking for small gifts. The quality is a step above the other stores...
