Swatara Coffee Company — Restaurant in Jonestown

Been a regular customer for years, and the quality of the drinks is great. The service can be disappointing, I have waited before for 45 minutes to find out my order got “lost” and needed to be redone. It happens, I get it…however, we just had a group of 4, and they were busy, but 3 of us got our drinks within about 15 minutes, and one waited while 2 drinks that were ordered after us were served, so we kept waiting. Finally we asked if our order would soon be ready and we were told “sorry, we’re busy.” About 25 more minutes passed, with additional orders placed after us, groups that got their drinks first, about 6 more drinks…we said to the staff that we’d like a refund, we needed to leave. The staff wasn’t polite about it and said “I think your drink is done,” and they pulled it out from behind there counter where it was sitting for who knows how long….we stood there for 45 minutes, gave a reminder, and they never put it out and weren’t even nice about it. Extremely disappointed…didn’t try to make up for the ridiculous wait or the fact that they kept cranking out drinks for people that ordered well after us…some 45 minutes after us. As a regular, I gotta admit it’ll be a while before I consider going back. To act that way when the customer isn’t in the wrong, felt forgotten, and then almost as if it was done on purpose after we politely asked if our order was coming up is very disappointing, and like I said…seems to happen more than it should at this one location (because we frequent their other locations as well.) After asking for a refund because we needed to leave, and our coffee that had apparently been sitting there after we asked for it was just handed over, like we were a problem was ridiculous. Not very good service at...

It has a really nice atmosphere and feels very cozy. I saw they have a nice deck to sit out on; it was too cold outside the day I went to enjoy it. The barista was very friendly & explained a little about what they offer. I thought they only had coffee, but they have other food items that I will be back to try in the future. I had my SA with me and again the barista was so sweet to me, while completely ignoring my SA, which is exactly what you're supposed to do. I normally get very anxious bringing her with me places because often people (well meaning, I'm sure) will attempt to distract her from doing her job. Kudos to Swatara Coffee Company for a great experience and the coffee was really good, too! I will definitely be back...

My fiancé and I stopped in for the first time today and are so happy to have found our new favorite cafe! Sasha and Maddy were both so sweet and helpful. There were so many amazing options that it was hard to choose what I wanted, but Sasha made me a rosemary lavender latte and it was SO good! I was really excited that there were unique flavors that I haven’t found anywhere else. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the baristas were so friendly, and it was VERY reasonably priced (way cheaper and much better quality than Starbucks!) We can’t wait to come back ASAP and support such a wonderful...
