Margarita’s Mexican Cuisine & Bar — Restaurant in Jonesville

Love the way this restaurant is decorated! Really awesome inside and I like how you can also choose to eat outdoors. I only gave 2 stars because once we were seated, it was really obvious our waitress was spread thin. She had too many tables to take care of by herself, which is probably why we had terrible service. It took a long time to even get our chips and salsa, and we ordered cheese dip, but didn't get it until AFTER we got our entrées. Speaking of entrées, i ordered shrimp fajitas, which also comes with guacamole, rice/beans, tortillas. Well, I reviewed my shrimp, but when it came out, it was just warm, it had been sitting a while, and the veggies were wet and soggy. There was very little flavor, just bland shrimp and mushy vegetables. I couldn't eat because I still hadn't received the other part of my meal. We waited and waited. Had to flag someone down and ask where the rest of my food was. My husband also was waiting on tortillas. When the rest of the food finally came out, my shrimp fajitas were cold. My drink was at the bottom, was also waiting on more of that too. The food just wasn't that good, the service was terrible. Also, there was a fee on the ticket that made no sense. won't be...

The night started off great. We got our chips ,drinks and queso we ordered In a timely manner. Before we received our food our server visited our table several times and asked hiw everything was going this happens 5x to which we replied cN we have more napkins .when we got our food was we were missing a order if beans and he tortillas for the fajitas again I asked for napkins she told us the missing food was Oon the way they were still cooking when she finally brought the missing items we asked for napkins again and th rest of our tortillas she brought one pack of tortillas ND asked how everything was to which I replied this is the 9th timeni have asked for napkins can I please have some napkins. This time she brought two napkins threw them on the dirty dishes muttered Punta and walked off. She never stopped again I had to get another server to get boxes and we ended up going up front to get our check. My wife told the lady about our service to which we're told don't leave her a tip. We will come back at least once because the food was excellent but I will refuse service if it is her. Thanks to this place I no longer trust Google reviews. I was skeptical to try it because it had some negative reviews. I am so glad I decided to go because this is now my absolute favorite Mexican restaurant. The atmosphere is very cool and unique. They have awesome art work on the walls and a collection of Mexican wrestling masks.

I keep seeing bad reviews about the service. I don’t understand why. Our food was brought out super fast despite coming on a Saturday. Our server was very nice and efficient. She actually understood what vegan was and got our order right which is something we struggle with at a lot of restaurants. One of the bad reviews on here complained about a server having “no personality”. Can we keep in mind the job of a server is to serve your food, not stroke your ego.

The food is incredible. I got the veggie burrito and my husband got the veggie fajitas. The portions were huge and we had food to take home. We left stuffed and our bill only came to $24! To get full on Taco Bell you have to spend as much these days. So it’s a great deal. The salsa and chips were delicious too.
