I'm not sure what's 5 star about this place. I was treated rudely when I was dining in. And the employees talk rudely to each other and about each other. People slouching at the register and the hosts gossipping and etc and so forth, using inappropriate language, the short little manager with the blonde curly hair was gossiping to a fellow employee at the host stand, about another employee. Not a good look for the yadkin valley. Furthermore I'm wondering why people are so concerned with covid and wearing a mask there when I overheard an employee say there was another employee there that tested positive for covid but was at the grand opening ribbon cutting yesterday with no face covering. People want better they have to do better and be a part of the change! Very displeased and I will definitely continue to spend my money at Theo's!!
EDIT: this is far from a disgruntled former employee just Surry county patron trying to test out a new restaurant with horrible service and bad vvibes. I sense a whole lot of drama there. My personal dining experience was not very pleasant either because while I was trying to eat my supper I had to listen to All the gossip and everybody at the host stand talking about one another. not a good look for the yadkin valley. BTW I'm a Pike employee just...
Read moreI did have an issue with an order last night, and originally was not too happy with how it was handled by staff (simply because I love Roma’s and did not want to have to even think about taking my business elsewhere), so I had previously left a review about my problem. The owner Ahmed reached out to me personally to see how he could fix the issue, which I really appreciate. So I am returning the favor and amending my review, as it means a lot to me that the owner took time out of what I’m sure is a busy day to contact me and see if we could reach a resolution. This was the ONLY issue in the many times I’ve eaten there. Otherwise, I’ve had nothing but pleasant experiences. It’s genuinely good food that doesn’t break the bank, and knowing a thoughtful owner is diligently watching over things makes a difference. I work at a local hotel and regularly send guests there who are looking for good Italian food, and will...
Read moreIf you want to know much about a restaurant look at the staff and look at food prep areas as well as service areas. I'm honestly surprised this place is still in business! If asked a week ago when we had visited two times and had a tremendous waitress we might have given this place five stars (maybe 3 at best) however, the food is anything but mediocre at best. Waitress we had this evening did not get out orders correct and the cook "Dabien" who dates the hostess (Amy) refused to fix an improperly prepared mail. We were asked to leave when asked why our mail could not be prepared properly. As we're leaving the hostess by the name of "Amy" laughed as we were leaving! We have a family member who is highly allergic to an ingredient we had specifically asked not to be included in that meal. I pray Ahmed can do better and find better help before...
