Store # 12263 Right off I 70 in Junction City. This is the absolute best McDonald's ever. The employees were so friendly and helpful, not just one or two of them but every single person working tonight 8/15/18 did an awesome job and deserves special credit. I know that if you have a job to do it is naturally expected that you do a good job, but these employees went above and beyond what any employer would have expected of them. I am 63 years old and I have to walk with a cane, which can make things a bit difficult. Tonight I was in a lot of pain, so I was a little unsteady on my feet. As I was walking I looked up and before I could make it to the front door a young lady was already standing there holding it open for me. Another employee, a young man saw her holding the first door for me, so he ran to open the second door of the breezeway. As soon as I walked inside I was very impressed with how clean everything was and the way it was decorated made me feel very relaxed and comfortable. There wasn't a large playroom like some McDonald's have but it did have a very cute kid friendly area that I know my grandchildren would love. While I was admiring an interactive table in the play room another employee noticed I was looking at it and iniciated a conversation with me. What most impressed me was that the young man wasn't looking for an excuse to take a break because all the while he was explaining to me how the table worked, he continued to clean, not missing a beat. He was very polite and friendly, in my books It's the little things like that, that I appreciate and remember. After I placed my order to go, the girl that waited on me insisted on carrying it out to the car for me, which I truly appreciated. Trying to walk with a cane plus carry food and a beverage is most definitely a recipe for disaster. So this is the real deal, after my experience today, even though I live almost 200 miles from Junction City, without a doubt, whenever I get that way again, I will most definitely make sure I stop to buy something to eat or drink just to see those big friendly smiles again. I was so impressed with these young people that I had Jasmine write down each of their names so I could make sure they get the credit they so richly deserve for a job well done. I believe that the kind of service I received should be the standard for all restaurants. Whether it be fast food or fine dining. This McDonald's is by far the best McDonald's I have ever been to. I hope management realizes what a treasure these employees are and reacts accordingly. I want to give a big thank you to Jalen, Letty, Jasmine, Matthew H., Kayla, Axel, Justine, Garrett and Hal. I'm sure with your friendly attitudes and strong work ethics you will all succeed in whatever you do. Tonight you succeeded in making an old woman smile. Lol I hope I spelled all of your names correctly. Keep up the good work. Sincerely, A very satisfied...
Read moreI went to this McDonald's and was ordering my meal. Everything was fine until I ordered a drink. The lady behind the register said,"I don't care what your drinking, is that all?" Maybe it was my fault for saying,"large coke, e z ice." But it's a habit when ordering I'll add the e z ice because they always jam the cup with ice. I don't want drink in my ice, I want ice in my drink. Anyhow, all I could say was,"Excuse me?" I'm on a business trip and just made a pit stop. The lady continues,"I said, I don't care what your drinking." I was so embarrassed there were others being in the waiting area. I looked back and to my horror we had gotten the crowds attention. I returned to the lady and still had an order to place. With a van full of hungry kids you aren't going back empty handed. I said,"I'm sorry, I don't see the problem here, but can I speak to your manager?" The lady got irate and actually wanted to fight me. The manager working the drive thru catches this lady before she makes her way out into the waiting area. I walked with her and was going to see if this lady was really going to hit me. The manager asks her what the problem is, and she began screaming about how I'm a b* n* this and that. And I'm standing there shaking my head thinking this is all over me wanting a coke? The manager tells her to take a walk and asks me what happened. I began explaining my side and there were several customers that agreed with me. The manager shakes her head and continues taking my order. The lady who wanted to fight had walked out and over to the gas station next door screaming and gesturing wildly as if she was about to go fight someone over there. The male working the grill had even turned around and looked like he was about to fight me. I placed my order, got it and was missing a couple things but I wasn't about to complain. The manager didn't offer me a discount or discount my meals. Called cooperate and the franchise owner. Franchise owner never replied. Cooperate called and I wasted an hour with them discussing why the whole thing happened. Was made to feel like I knew better and shouldn't have started it. YUP THAT'S RIGHT LIKE I SHOULDN'T HAVE STARTED IT. What a world we live in where you can't place an order for food without being threatened. Should have made a police report but whose got the time. Would sue but nothing really happened besides a huge waste...
Read moreI placed an order trough the app because I was staying with my parents and kids at the hotel near by for a Church convention, I sent my dad to pick up the order while I was finishing up getting ready, I sent him with a screenshot of my order and he even called me bc his english is not good. The cashier called my order so my dad went to pick it up and show her the receipt on his phone so they looked at him weird and a manager grabbed the food from him because he wasn’t “Melany”. He waited approximately 15min plus the 15 min that he waited before this interaction. He had to call me to go over there to see what was the issue, I walked in and they didn’t acknowledge me for more then 5min the manager look at me multiple times and ignored me (my dad pointed at ny food) that was sitting there getting cold for no reason, then the manager proceeded to ask me what was my order and walked away I waited 10 more minutes and my food was still there, then finally someone grabbed my bag and tried to “get it ready” but the hash brown was already cold, they handled me the bag and I asked them if at least I could get the hash brown fresh, the manager didn’t apologize but excuse herself blaming the employees that were new.
Next day my dad went to get food with my daughter and again they were rude to him, I don’t know the reason behind that attitude, I don’t know if it was because he wasn’t able to communicate because of his limitations or because he was a hispanic old man. We spend 5 days of convention in the area and everyone (20+ people) were treated rude and disrespectful, just because we were “too many people”.
Definitely someone need to get some Costumers Service...
