First the positive: they make the BEST lemon blueberry scone I’ve ever had! Not sure what happened because this place came highly recommended, so we had a Mother’s Day tea here with our daughters. But really, this place is for adults- Probably a good time to note that a table of all adults was served before us, and the place was half empty. They served the girls (all around age 4) juice about 10-12 minutes after we were seated. And then brought their food 30 minutes, yes a solid 30 minutes later. Now we’ve been sitting for about 45 minutes- people who have children know- it’s really hard for little kids to sit still for that long with nothing to do! These poor girls were all sugared up with nothing to eat for way too long. So when they inevitably got up, started dancing to the music and being silly, they were reprimanded- LOUDLY- by one of the servers. She didn’t politely come by and ask us to seat the girls. She yelled it from halfway across the place. SUPER inappropriate, especially considering how long we’d been waiting for our food. We were there for a total of 1.5 hours because of how long our little sandwiches and premade pastries took to land on a tray and make their way to our table. Our little girls were done by the time we left, and nobody can blame them. Like I said, if you have adult children or wanna go with other adults, I’m sure this place is great. I do not recommend bringing a...
Read moreMy favorite restaurant in the area! I literally crave their food! Everything is made with meticulous precision and care before it arrives to your table. You can tell when the people in a restaurant truly care what they are serving you, and Teapots and Treasures does this with ease. Whenever I can, I take people here for birthday celebrations, holidays, business luncheons, and casual outings. Sometimes I just like to stop by and have lunch by myself because the restaurant has such a sweet vibe. It helps that their high tea is the best I’ve ever had, and this includes those served at 5-star resorts. As far as the staff is concerned, I LOVE that it is locally owned and operated by two ladies. The workers are like one big family and truly care about their guests. It’s not easy to own and operate a restaurant. I know…I’ve owned several. It’s hard to please everyone and unfortunately, there are people out there who are just unkind, demanding, and just plain rude. Not the kind of energy I like to surround myself with. Thankfully, most of the guests at the restaurant are just lovely people who want to have a relaxing lunch/high tea and are gracious guests. I have always had extraordinary service and will continue to come to such a special place, where I leave a happier person than...
Read moreThis place is complete RUBBISH! I can not understand how it has such a high ratings except for the novelty of a teahouse in Jup/Juno. This is my THIRD time here. Each time, it is progressively worse! Service is abysmal! Food portions are tinyyy! They don't even give one of each sandwich/scone to every person on the tower and soup is in the tinyest saucer you can imagine. It took over 1.5 hours just to be served our soup! Yall we pre-ordered everything a week in advance!! My daughter was in tears she was so hungry. There was only one other table, so they weren't busy! They don't even make these sandwiches to order as I saw multiple people carrying Tupperware full of sandwiches in the kitchen. The waitresses don't give refills and are sour puss faced. The croissant was stale, and the olive/goat cheese was disgusting. They only let us get 2 pots of tea for 7 ladies, and one was luke warm. I can't drink lukewarm tea. There was an 8/10 yr old girl at the counter working or making braceletes, but no one else to help. Don't even get me started on how we had to pay cash and split it ourselves at the table instead of letting us come to the counter to pay for our meals. What a nightmare! I will NEVER be back. $50 for a headache even in the name of tea and friends is...
