I have lived in the area for 43 years. A couple of weeks ago my brother and I went inside to this particular Jack In The Box. The floors were dirty, and so were the tables. I asked one of the employees if I could have a damp towel to wipe off one of the tables, and they obliged . I then returned to the counter and was greeted by the cashier . She had a stern look on her face, I said hello, and I swear to you all - she just looked at me - motionless.
I placed my order which was 2 Jumbo Jack combo's with ice tea. When my order was up she handed me my food and didn't say anything, and with zero facial expression. I placed our food on the table, then returned to the counter, asked for our ice tea's, she turned around, went near the drive-thru window, made the drinks, then handed them to me once again without saying a word. Although I do blame her for being socially awkward, I also blame the Jack In The Box franchise owner for not evaluating / interviewing their staff better. I realize that we live in different times, kids aren't as friendly and social as we were decades ago, but something has to change.
My first job was was at the Jack In The Box in Indian Hills. If I greeted customers without a friendly smile , I would of been fired...
Read moreI saw the commercial about their loaded fries, and it haunted me, until I eventually I had to make my way over there. I loved their carne asada loaded fry promotion last year, so I was on a mission to check out their new Steak and Parm. Here's where things take a turn. Not only did I have to ask the cashier for my change, my order was wrong. They gave me the cheddar bacon option - which were delicious! That's not the point, however. Better attention to detail is definitely needed. There was no line and no rush for my order. My money was taken, not counted, placed in the drawer and closed, and the receipt was handed to me. I had to do her job, and tell her how much change she owed me. I am trying to stay away from fries, but the commercial was a success! It got me there, with the intent to buy what they had advertised. Read moreI ordered 2 Jumbo Jacks with Bacon and they forgot to add the Bacon even after I requested for the Bacon to be well done. I paid extra for the Bacon. Since you can only drive through for your order I didn't know that the Bacon was missing. I immediately called when I found out and nobody answers their phone. They are open 24 hours and I've tried at different times and it just rings.
*note to self to check my order while I'm at the window instead of wasting my money. I don't like to hold up the line of cars, but since Jack's employees don't care to get orders correct nor to answer the phone that's the way it's got to be in the future.
