I understand its Easter. I understand that it sucks when people call in. I understand working long hours back to back and having to cover shifts. I get it. I was a Manager in a fast food company for years, and now I'm a nurse manager. Customer service and hospitality are supposed to go hand in hand. This visit the manager walked away from the cash register while there was a line to lock the doors and turn off the lights, telling us all she is closing an hour early and all the reasons why. That's not customer service or hospitality. Then when a family was able to get in she got loud again. I'm not saying she yelled at us or anything, but it was clear that she was angry and frustrated. As if she was thinking how dare I order ice-cream. So I ignored rudeness and continued my order, after my second blizzard order she rolled her eyes and let out a sigh. I just looked at her like seriously? Then I gave her my order for the final item and she turned to her Co worker and complained about how they were never going to get out of work, when I'm the only one in the shop. Needless to say I will not be going back to this location, it should probably be closed down and renovated anyway. Having ONE employee working, in the summer, at an ice cream shop… is BAD BUSINESS. I don’t know how this poor woman survived in 80 degree indoor heat on a 92 degree day serving every person she did. She was lovely but not only is it bad business to have only one employee, it’s not safe for her.
This location is a disappointment to the Dairy Queen brand. It’s always randomly closed, has fluctuation hours due to staffing, it’s outdated and an eyesore.
