Libins — Local services in Kalamazoo

We used libins for our wedding for October 22 and it was a whirlwind for us. Months ago when we even decided to use them they told my brother (a groomsmen) that his jacket would be burgundy. The groomsmen everything was suppised to be black and my husband's was supposed to be the only burgundy jacket. We called up there multiple times before the wedding to make sure we were all on the same page. Wednesday before the wedding, my brothers jacket is burgundy. Not only this one of the other groomsmen jackets was missing. Thursday comes around and my step dad only had a vest in because for some reason they said my fiance at the time only said for him to have a vest June 6th. At first we thought that's all my father would need to rent from them. July twenty something my mom called to libins and ordered a full suit for him. The guy helping tried to argue that the whole suit was canceled in June but my mom paid for a full suit in July so that made completely no sense. They then went through the list of suits they had and said they couldn't find my fiances suit...the groom. My mom asked them to call her with any other concerns as to get my step dad's suit by Friday. They ended up calling my fiance telling him they couldn't get the original suit in the color we asked for because the pants didn't come in his size. My step dad is paralyzed and they told her to measure him at home. They started arguing with her telling her that she didn't measure him right when she did exactly what they said. They told us it was only Thursday like it wasn't a big deal that my wedding was on Saturday. We used libins because most of our groomsmen were from the area but we were getting married in Indiana, two hours away from where libins is. They didnt seem to have any remorse for the mistakes made. They didn't offer any help such as delivering suits or anything to help their mess up. I understand we are human and mistakes happen but as someone getting married there's already a lot going on and I feel like they could have handled the situation 1000x better than they did. They didn't even offer a discount to my brother who had to drive over there twice from battle creek because his jacket...

AL is very rude and has a condescending tone. I have never owned a suit before and am getting married and tried going to Libbins because I was referred by a friend and it's local, and I think I'd rather wear basketball shorts and a T shirt based on the service I was Givin here. I've lived in Kalamazoo my entire life (I'll be 30 in September) and I will never recommend this place to anyone ever again. I picked out a look that I want for my wedding and he didn't listen, and was making me try on stuff that wasn't even close to what I wanted for my wedding and then had the audacity to tell me my "thighs" were too big for what I had picked out originally and wasn't helping me with any replacements and that's when I just asked to talk to someone else. I am beyond disappointed in this place and it's a real shame people around kalamazoo don't have a respectful place to go and look nice without feeling bad about leaving the store. You guys must be doing extremely well, because you treat 100 people how I've been treated and you won't have anyone coming back to buy or rent things. At the beginning we got all of our suits and everything looked good. The day of the wedding, one of the grooms had a darker grey vest and it threw off all the photos. When we returned our suits, they took no accountability for the mess up and on top of that, they came out to our car yelling at us to bring the suits in because they closed in 10 minutes. Even though we had 8 suits and had to carry them all in by ourselves and just got back from a 4 hour drive. We were rushed inside, yanked the clothing out of our hands and the staff maniacally began ripping open bags and tossing them around the floor. They had no respect for their customers and no remorse for anything even after we had just got married and returned from a long trip the day after. We had all suits accountable and the bald man was an absolute douchebag for screaming at his customers and should be fired on the spot for treating any human being the way he did.
