Me & my friend came in to try the place seeing as San Francisco’s is closed today. The portions to price ratio was not good. I’m seeing the other reviews and will probably give the place another try, but the nachos I ordered had stale or refried circle chips from a commercial/ GFS/ Sysco style company, they put about a teaspoon of meat on the nachos, and they used the yellow liquid Cheese. It felt kind of like Mexican food for beginners. And respectfully, we are far from it 😬. I had to fight my way to eat the rest of the food due to lack of flavor as well. The service was okay. The young woman in the front taking the orders was customer service friendly, and I have 0 complaints about the service. Just the quality 🥹. My friend got a torta. Her steak had a okay flavor, but the torta was pretty boneless compared to other tortas that either one of us have had before. Little to no meat, some lettuce, onion and an avocado slicer just thrown on there, bread a bit flat, and overall, kinda meh. If I made it at home I would have been proud, but buying it from a restaurant for 10 ish bucks? No thank you. Unfortunately it will be awhile before I give them another chance, but I am willing, simply due to a large Jamaica being $5.00. That’s a good price for the size (about like 32 oz).

I was pleasantly surprised by this unassuming little place. My boyfriend and I wanted some Mexican food for dinner and (while there's a plethora of Mexican restaurants in Kalamazoo) I suddenly remembered driving by this one often and we decided to try it. The staff is Very friendly and very helpful. The food we ordered was all quite delicious. I especially loved the fries (Pas Michoacanas)! My boyfriend enjoyed his Torta and I enjoyed my Gordita and Tamale. The restaurant was also nice and clean inside ☺️

The service is great and the restaurant is welcoming however when it comes to the food I tried the steak torta which lacked flavor and was thrown together with not much going for it. I tasted more avocado and bread than steak to clarify, The sauces are not good and tasted almost store like. I really wanted to like this place but it’s hard to top other establishments when you don’t care to cook seasoned food

Love their food! Their Mexican style tacos are outstanding with plenty of protein, onions and cilantro. I've tried the Pollo, chorizo, asada, pastor and carne molida. Their chorizo is my favorite. You've got to try their gorditas. The masa pocket has a nice crust to the outside that provides a pleasant texture. For starters order the combo chips, pico and queso. I also enjoy their tamales. I've had the pork and the chicken. They have some plate specials for larger appetites. The service here is friendly and fast. This place is my go to Mexican restaurant of choice in the Kalamazoo area! Give them a try, you won't be...
