Disappointing Experience Despite Good Beer – Especially as a Fellow Veteran

As a veteran myself, I was genuinely excited to support a veteran-owned brewery, but sadly, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. The atmosphere was uninviting, and the staff came off as indifferent and unapproachable. It felt more like we were intruding than welcomed guests.

One thing that really stood out to me—in a disappointing way—was that no one asked if I was a veteran, which would have qualified me for a discount. At a place that promotes its veteran roots, I expected a bit more recognition or at least the courtesy of being asked especially as I was wearing a veteran hat.

The pizza was another letdown: underwhelming, bland, and definitely not something I’d go back for. It seemed like more of an afterthought than a feature of the menu.

On the bright side, the beer was solid—easily the best part of the visit. But overall, between the cold reception, forgettable food, and missed opportunity to connect with fellow veterans, I walked away disappointed. I hope they find a way to better reflect the values and camaraderie that typically define...

Patriotic American Brewery is a gem in the community of Evergreen. It is a welcoming, friendly environment. The place is clean, it was busy but not oppressively loud as so many other places can be. I had a delightful afternoon and evening on their opening weekend.

The couple operating the brewery do an excellent job engaging their customers and provide a high-quality product. I was very excited to find a Kentucky Common on the menu. This is a true American brew and deserves to be preserved and remembered in our heritage. PAB is doing just that.

This is a great place that simply takes pride in being American. I felt no pressure towards any politics or to take an opinion on this or that, only real people gathering for friendly conversation and great beer.

What an awesome little surprise this was. We decided to pop in just as passers by to see what it was all about and it turns out...well worth the time. They have a solid selection of beers that will have an offering for pretty much anyone's taste. It is an independently veteran owned and operated establishment that gives back to the community of heroes in all uniforms. They also offer discounts to any active military, veterans and/or first responders so make sure you let them know if that is you. It's a great atmosphere with top notch service and...
