Johnny's Pizza — Restaurant in Kankakee

Update as of November 22nd 2023 . Stopped in after a very hard day's work . Ordered the new Detroit style pizza . Oh my goodness! This stuff hits a home run ! Definitely have to get a piece of this delicious new Johnny style pizza . However, there is still the matter of Personal Touch being given to the customer that is definitely lacking . Not sure why but one of the young men just eyeballing me the entire time I was there. The ladies who were serving and taking orders were extremely polite and professional . Sometimes it pays to just be a professional no matter what. Once again, I'm really glad they added this new pizza to their menu make sure to try it soon . You won't be disappointed! Just spoke with Josh. I ordered about $40 worth of food the tiramisu was frozen solid with ice crystals the pizza was good as it always is the breadsticks were not great but the worst thing was the salad Johnny's salad which is supposed to have red peppers there was half of one piece and it's supposed to come with meat chicken or turkey which they charge you $3 for if you order it with a salad there is none he says okay I'm sorry about that and then goes to hang up when I asked what they were going to do about it? Josh said what you want me to credit you for chicken on a salad? Yes Josh I want what I paid for what is so hard to understand about that? So maybe stay away from this place because they'll steal your money and not really care about stealing your money maybe that's just...

This restaurant is extremely unprofessional and rude. I ordered a pizza for delivery and it was NEVER delivered. I called numerous times to inquire about the delivery taking so long and no one answered. I then called back the next day and spoke with a so called manager named Otis. He was VERY unapologetic and rude. He claimed that the delivery person was unable to reach me, then lied and said the restaurant does NOT keep phone numbers on file for recurring customers, all of which was a lie!! When I called the night before to place the order, the staff person asked me for my number and when I provided it, the person said, "ok is this Tiffany?" Therefore, they already had my number stored from previous orders! I feel that the staff is incompetent and very unprofessional because as a manager, instead of making excuses and trying to argue with a customer, he should have apologized for the mix up and inconvenience!! I will NEVER order/purchase anything from this place and I will STRONGLY advise my friends, colleagues and family to steer clear of this place!!! In the future, it may behoove this establishment to send their "managers" to a class where they can be taught proper customer service, customer retention, problem resolution...

If I could give this place 0 stars I would, management is rude and completely unprofessional, ordered a salad and confirmed with the employee what I wanted to be on it and what should be taken off, the employee never said anything about the salads coming pre-made. So I got my food and the salad had everything on it I asked to be removed. I called and talked to John and he said they don’t take special requests and salads come pre-made , I don’t see how this is my fault since I had no knowledge of the way the salads come. He said “that’s not my fault you don’t know how to order your food right.” I was horrified I never had a manager let anyone an owner said something so nasty.
