Horrible! Would not have even given one star, but it doesn't let you do 0. Not at all like LC's. In Platte Woods. Bun is too big for the burger, onions are gross. Asked for no cheese or onions on one burger, it had a bunch of nasty stringy onions, had cheese, and our biggest complaint... SO much mustard on them that it was oozing and dripping out, the buns were saturated, couldn't pick it up without getting mustard all over your fingers, table, etc. Tried to call but they don't answer, recording says "This customer is not taking calls at this time, please try again later. " So hopped in the car to go talk to them. Took the worst burger with us, showed them pictures of the rest. They actually wanted us to go all the way back home and get the rest of the burgers and bring them all back. Would not refund a dime, would remake if we went home and got the other 2. Our daughter had already thrown hers in the trash, her fried pickles were soggy and gross too. I do not recommend and will not return to this joke of a location. The Platte Woods location is still good, North Oak is terrible, don't waste your money! Very unprofessional. They have trouble understanding you so you have to repeat yourself over and over. ...

You came to this review page because you want to know if this hamburger joint inside of a gas station can satisfy your burning desire for a juicy. cheeseburger. Lucky for you, LCās Hamburger Express is that cornucopia of deliciousness that you need to visit right now.
LCās serves the classic American cheeseburger that you could only ever find in the back of a gas station. Itās not a complex restaurant, but what the owner has created is a masterpiece. I ordered the cheeseburger with grilled onions. It was delightful. The melted cheese glazing the top of two remarkably flavorful patties will stimulate your taste buds, eyes, and nose as you experience the sandwich. You will have no regrets for choosing LCās based on the food alone. But the nostalgic environment of the gas station provides LCās with the fifth star, the finishing touch: it compels every part of you to be content with your food, your life, and whatās around you. At restaurants like these, you appreciate the beauty of simplicity. A truly wonderful experience, I recommend LCās...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went through the reviews here, and I work across the street from LC's Hamburgers Express.
They get orders done in about 5 - 7 minutes. The manager / head cook has a passion for work and quality, she's also very personable and her workers listen and stay busy prepping or cooking. The price is a little much, but this isn't McDonalds and the food is worth the extra couple of bucks. The French fries are small to medium sized and medium crisp. Personally I think they are too soft and small, but I prefer thick cut crispy fries and I know most people like the small soft fries. They are about a quarter inch by quarter inch and between 3 - 5 inches long with medium crisp.
I normally get the fish basket which is cooked well, cheap, comes with fries and some tangy sauce. ~$8 and fills up a 6 foot 200lb athlete on his lunch break.
I'm giving a five star because the food is good and plentiful. I do wish for thicker crispier...
