WYLDE THYME — Restaurant in Kansas City

I will never patronize this business again. The first time that I visited this juicery, the service was not great. I placed an order for a juice cleanse over the phone and went in to pick it up. At first impression, it seemed as if the staff working at that time might have been surprised to see that I was black. But, I brushed it off. The second time I came in, I was also treated by a different employee with the same dismissive attitude – as if they were not willing to serve me as a customer. Today, I said that I would give this establishment one last try. I was disappointed yet again. Their drive-through is very confusing and I could not locate the menu when I drove into the lot. When I pulled up to the window and asked to see a menu, the employee suggested I drive around to look at the drive through menu, which was unhelpful because the menu is incomplete and does not list their full selection of items. I wanted a smoothie. I was then instructed that it would be easier for me to just come inside, but because I could hear the girl laughing under her breath, I decided to leave the juicery altogether. Patronize this business if you wish, but they will not be getting a single dollar from me. These copycat Midwest businesses think they’re special because they’ve managed to mimic Los Angeles style eateries (where I moved from). I came here in May 2020 because it was so hyped in the reviews from IG…spent $57ish on drinks (kid got a cookie as well) and absolutely hated every single one of them EXCEPT the one I only bought one of 🥴🥴 like I just didn’t expect to try 6 different drinks and only end up liking ONE. Joke was clearly on me 😭

Also, girl at counter that day def seemed annoyed, like she didn’t even want to be there and wasn’t helpful at all, even when I mentioned I was just passing through, on my 37hr minimum road trip across the country, Pittsburgh-LA. Some guidance for a first timer would have been appreciated, as the menu doesn’t exactly give PRICES so I was kinda left to make choices unknowingly. Like, I specifically routed to this little city to come to this place..so that wasn’t pleasant either. Low key though: get a freaking menu with prices please, bc I’m not tryna buy 3/4 $12 drinks that taste...

The Building is pretty. The Menu Options are nice. But... These Workers are N-A-S-T-Y!😒 I have on several occasions came to this establishment and the way these workers TOUCH EVERYTHING including themselves (eyes, nose, mouth, NOSE piercings [septums and studs alike]) and then try to service people[ME!] should really be frowned upon. I'm such a nice person and I know nobody wants to be called out publicly, but seriously. CHECK these little girls. Not sure if they're doing nasty things so some type of customer doesn't come back, but I can still leave a review. Some of them are even in nursing schools (I learned through conversation), which is absolutely terrifying.🫢I won't be back until I know these girls learned how to wash their hands and minimize the spreading germs. Post-COVID era, my fanny!
