Humble Grounds Coffeehouse’s 2nd location is in one word… INCREDIBLE!!! The location, the atmosphere, the service, & the ambiance are absolute perfection!!! The vanilla latte with almond milk and cinnamon is chef’s kiss! “The Rob” (a creative culinary twist on their already drool-worthy version of avocado toast) is one of the best breakfasts this side of the Brazos ! I was very impressed with their menu’s gluten friendly options like the AMAZING chorizo & bacon breakfast tacos, and they even make varieties of delicious GF muffins! The staff is SO friendly and welcoming! This location’s ambience definitely provides that (very rare these days) homey, small town feel. The extremely spacious Gathering Grounds right off the back porch unfolds into a world of its own!!! Plenty of space for you to bring the kiddos, meet up with friends, or even take a business meeting! There is even a separate room with a conference table and ample space in the back available for rent through them. This is one place you do NOT want to miss out on experiencing! It truly saddens me that I can't give this place a 5-star review. I've come here several times and made it my go-to study spot. Although it’s a bit small and seating can fill up quickly, I've never had to wait more than a few minutes for a spot to open up. Street parking is almost always available, as long as you're okay with a short walk.

My main issue, however, is with the coffee/ service. Due to my dietary restrictions, I order a double shot of espresso with a splash of half and half. While I understand that interpretations of a "splash" can vary, I received a drink that was nearly full from the amount of added cream. When I politely asked the barista if they could adjust it with less cream, she refused to fix the drink.

I would understand if I were asking for a completely new drink because I simply didn't like it, in which case a charge would make sense. But in this case, it wasn’t about my preference—it was simply made incorrectly. A quick adjustment to correct the drink would have been appreciated.

Update: I am thrilled to say all wrongs have been made right. I have been back more times than I should admit! Love it here ❤️...

I went inside just now at 10:45am on Oct. 6, 2025. No one spoke. They did however see me. I am a black woman, 2 minutes later, a white woman walks in and is instantly greeted with "Hello, Good morning!". I instantly left. I don't patron where all are not treated equally.

Update: I did have correspondence with the Owner via email and she did acknowledge the occurrence by reviewing the cameras, she did apologize for the interaction and stated that this does not reflect the company's values and that she doesn't believe it was rooted in any racial bias. I did let her know that the fact that she took time out of her day to fully access the situation was very admirable.
