I LOVE this place! My boyfriend and I moved to Katy for a change of pace, and within the first week we discovered Kona Reserve.
The employees are all knowledgeable, helpful and so sweet— especially Althea, the manager who took the time to explain the nitro cold brew, why their cold brew machines are special, as well as the history behind this coffee company.
The ambiance of this place is PERFECT. I’m an early riser, and most mornings I want to relax before I head to work to stress. This place is laid back and aesthetically pleasing: clean counter tops, hanging tea lights, cute plants. Additionally, in traditional coffee places, the music is usually … loud. However here it is calm and tranquil, something where I don’t have to shout to have someone hear me, or jam my headphones in to drown out blaring 2010 techno-pop songs.
On to the best part: the coffee is to DIE for. One of our hardest goodbyes when we moved was to our favorite coffee shop… But we loved Kona’s coffee so much more. The nitro coffee is my all time favorite, and my boyfriend’s is their double espresso (I’m partial to that too). Their coffee is also still enjoyable 30-45 minutes after ordering it!
We have yet to try their bakery items, but just from the coffee, we have fallen in love...
Read moreMy wife decided to give this place a chance and venture away from her daily routine of Starbucks. Needless to say, it was a huge regret from the moment she placed her order. To begin, she asked the drive-thru cashier about an advertised specialty drink called the “Rose Latte” and the cashier had absolutely no clue what she was talking about. My wife asked a second time and the cashier said they did not make the drink. My wife confirmed that the speciality drink was listed on the Kona website, to which the cashier replied in a sarcastic tone “well I guess we do have it then”. After placing her order, she pulled up to the drive thru window and wasn’t even given a “hello”, “good morning”, “how are you”, nothing!! These are normal things people in service oriented businesses say to paying customers and I have to admit that 9 out of 10 times, Starbucks is always on-point with their customer greetings. Starbucks employees are always kind, energetic, upbeat and positive. This makes all the difference and definitely worth waiting in long lines. So…suffice to say that she will continue her daily Starbucks routine and will not be returning...
Read moreI’ll tried to come here on my lunch break and go through the drive-through for two chai lattes and two Lovenox bagels, I got my coffee really fast, then they asked me to pull around to the back of the building, because there was someone behind me, and that they would bring me my sandwiches.. I think they literally forgot that I was back there because I had to call them 15 minutes later and ask them to bring out my sandwiches and now I am late going back to work…
that is ridiculous and I need to do better with being more efficient.
why do you have a drive-through if you are not going to be efficient?
And telling me to go to the back of the building is not cool. Cause it took 30 min to get 2 drinks and two bagels in the DRIVE THROUGH.. They didn’t bring the food out until I called the cafe. Don’t come here if you only have a 45 min lunch break… and on top of that. They didn’t even toast the bagel!! Why did it take that long to give me a bagel with cream cheese and...
