Lagos Buka — Restaurant in Texas

My 10 year old and myself wanted to try Fufu for a very long time. And unfortunately we choose this spot for experience. Horrible. Place is to close for 10pm; went in around 815pm. And I wish she would've just closed early because NOTHING on that BUFFET Style service was appealing. Everything looked dry and old old old. Asked about something I saw on the menu which I thought was Gumbo from the advising; only to find out it's actually okra. Okay that's the start. I okra had 1 piece of FROZEN crab claw and 1 shrimp. The smell of shellfish was so pungent I refused to eat it. Just a sample was ok. And let me state.. Just AWFUL!!. a bunch of slime! The lady that prepared this foolishness stated they were out of crabs so she offered me a placement meat in which I asked her what paired well with the "okra" and she just slaps 2 pieces of meat parts on top! Like, ok??! She shouldn't have sold me that bowl of slop! She wasn't inviting at first, to which my daughter even mentioned it to me. Let's continue the Fufu was ok . I'll give another spot a try. Won't let this first-time bad experience detour us from what may be delicious. Just won't go here again. Nothing on that BUFFET looked like it ever tasted good. No seasoning just a bunch of greasy dry meat. At least an HOUR AND HALF until closing. She couldn't cook fresher food for the evening rush?!. Maybe that's why no one was there! I recently ordered from this restaurant via Uber Eats, and the experience left me utterly dissatisfied. The chicken, purportedly the star of the dish, was nothing short of stale. It seemed like a desperate attempt to salvage it by dousing it in pepper, a futile effort to mask its lack of freshness.

To make matters worse, the rice was an uninspiring concoction of salt and tastelessness. Cold to the point of being inedible, it left me questioning the restaurant's commitment to serving quality food. When I called to express my concerns, the response I received was as disappointing as the meal itself. The audacity to claim the food was cooked fresh was not only unconvincing but added insult to injury.

Overall, my experience was a culinary catastrophe, marked by stale chicken, flavorless rice, and a complete disregard for honesty. I would caution anyone considering this restaurant to think twice before subjecting themselves to such a dismal...

This is the most bland nigerian food I've tasted. I ordered via uber eats. I ordered efo riro, the efo riro had no meat and was not tasty at all, it also tasted like something warmed in the microwave. Then I their specialty red stew, and all I could taste was crayfish. Let's not even get started on the tiny portions/size. The final kicker was their smoky jollof rice. Error. The meat and fish included were extremely dry. Then there's the chicken, my goodness. How do you ruin chicken? Even with all the peppers they poured on the chicken, it was just not edible. I had to throw it away. Then they charge separately for everything. I would even forgive the tiny size they sent if it was tasty but everything tasted like microwaved food cooked by somone who has no business being in the kitchen. They need a new chef. First and last time patronizing. I'll definitely be saving my friends from this...
