One of the Worst Customer Service Experiences I’ve Ever Had

I had a horrible experience at this Popeyes location. The staff were unhelpful, dismissive, and clearly not trained to handle basic customer service situations. I accidentally placed an online order at the wrong store (yes, my mistake), but instead of trying to help, the team made it worse.

When I asked for assistance, Juan or Jenny something like that (one of the horrible supervisors) told me that store manager can't come out and speak with me becausehe or she is busy. I asked for contact information for the franchise owner or corporate, and they flat-out said they couldn't provide anything. Not only did they refuse to cancel the order that I couldn't cancel myself due to limitations in their system, but they also wouldn’t even honor the same order if I paid again at the correct store.

To be clear—I wasn’t asking for anything free. I was willing to pay again and just resolve the mix-up later with customer support. But they offered no solution. Nothing. Just a cold shoulder and zero accountability.

And good luck trying to get help online. Their “support” is just automated responses that go nowhere. It’s not just bad customer service—it’s a broken system from top to bottom. I eventually had to go to another restaurant just to get food, while Popeyes kept my money and refused to help in any way.

My Visit could have went better. Once I drove up to the speaker the lady came on and said something and I did not understand her. I then told her " Let me Know When You Are Ready". No response I then sat there and waited, the line then started to back up behind me and no one was in front of me by this time I am over here saying I am ready following with a hello and still nothing. I was to the point of driving either up to the window to try to order or just drive completely off. I put my car in drive then she decides to get on the speaker. I wanted the two for Tuesday Special and I was told they were not doing any specials which I am not too upset with that but I do feel it needs to be advertised or written by the menu somewhere. The thing that upset me was they had chicken, they had the sides, and the biscuits but only the regular menu. I got over it and ordered what I could get even though it was not what I wanted. I then want a Gallon of lemonade but they did not have it, the lady did say they are low on stock and they only had sweet and unsweet tea because the machines where down. Again, that as well should be advertised or written so people would know a head of time and not waste the time they do not have to decide what they want/can get. Overall the chicken was good. My husband and I went for a simple three piece spicy meal We requested breast wing and leg. Once we got to the window our payment was requested, we paid and after some time the worker came back to the window and stated their are no wings we will give you a thigh we declined and asked for another breast he closed the window and came back and forth several times because of this simple request at this time the line had piled and the other customers were blowing and growing impatient so to avoid any further delays we requested a refund because we didn’t understand why it was so much back and forth about one piece of chicken. The manager which was very rude and unfriendly never showed I contact or anything she never even spoke or acknowledged us. I said well hello maam and she still showed no sign of acknowledgment. She walked off after I grew very angry and I said this is horrible customer service a really nice young lady came and handled things so well she was a breath of fresh air she should definitely be promoted. This incident occurred at approximately 8:45 pm on Tuesday August 26, 2025 at the Popeyes on clay and Elrod. After all the back and forth the manager gave three breast in our order.
