This place was pretty bad… customer service was so horrendous here and the food wasn’t even that good.
When we walked in there was only two people there. We then ordered a pastrami sandwich and a French dip sandwich. Then there were three other locals or islanders that ordered after us and two of the groups ordered sandwich’s as well. It then took 45 minutes to get our food. All the locals were served before us and all ordered after us.
We also asked 30 minutes in to see where our food was at for the past 30 minutes because we only wanted to stop in there for a couple minutes and they said they where waiting on the pastrami sandwich which took 15 minutes to make. It should not take 45 minutes to make two sandwiches. The last time we were here it also took 45 minutes for a couple of sandwiches two years ago.
During this I overheard the lady that served us talking to another customer on the phone and she asked if they were an Islander.
Also the food wasn’t that good as well the French dip didn’t have a lot of meat but it was ok. The pastrami sandwich however was pretty bad; the bread was stale and there wasn’t that much meat.
After this we literally went to Costco because the pastrami sandwich wasn’t very good and got food there for 6 times cheaper and it was better than the sandwich’s that we got.
Overall I would not recommend eating here due to the lack of customer service and the food. We used to come all the time 15 years ago and the place has...
Read moreDeli and bread connection is located in the Kukui Grove shopping center. It is located near the Macy's end. The only reason I come here is the "lobsta roll" which usually takes a while for it to come out. But regardless for 8.75 it is very good. It comes out hot with melted cheese and just tastes awesome! I also enjoy their clam chowder in a bread bowl! Those are pretty much the 2 reasons I go here which are completely worth it. Yes the service is slow but they only have a few people working at any given time and I have seen the line out the door so obviously that says something about it. There is plenty of parking because it's at the mall. They have talked inside and there are summer tables outside add well that I believe are mask tables but it at least gets...
Read moreThe woman was rude to me eight from the beginning. It took 35 minutes for them to make two sandwiches after i paid for them. Each half of my sandwich had one small piece of lettuce, one thinly sliced tomato, one thin slice of cheese, and two very thin slices of meat. They even skimped on the mayo and mustard, so the bread was too dry. More attitude was given before we left. I will never go here again. If you're in the service industry and you hate your job, then just quit and find something else to do. The bread was good but the lack of ingredients made it not worth the money. I'd rather grocery shop and make my own. Probably would be faster and it would be way less cost per sandwich. If you want to be mistreated and fill up on bread, chips, and soda,...
