WARNING!!!KEEP OUT* I elected 1 Star as I can't leave a comment unless I do. But to be honest this place gets a -5! My family and I eat out quite often and we rarely eat processed foods- so- when you're served something that claims to be authentic but is overwhelming with an "I came from a can" aftertaste - you immediately know this place is as far from authentic and as far from Mexico as it could be. I should have been alerted when we ordered cheese with the complimentary chips and salsa and they served us nacho cheese sauce from a can (I can get that at a concession stand?) not to mention the salsa tastes like pace picante mixed with ketchup and barbecue sauce- TERRIBLE!! I had a taco salad and an enchilada. The beans and ground beef in the salad were a light mat brown color (just didn't look like most ground beef-but rather something that would come out of your 1991 cafeteria stainless steel serving pans in middle school) and the cheese enchilada was drowned in red enchilada sauce (with an overwhelming sugary- sweet taste-ughm- from a CAN!) I simply can't believe that someone would have a restaurant but fail to atleast hit the mediocre mark. I mean- you would have to be blind if you think patrons are leaving your restaurant happy? This may be top 5 worst meals I've ever eaten- there was just something terrible about it. And definitely the worst meal I've had in a decade! Awkwardly enough it seems it may be in trouble. Serving up cheap canned sauces and foods for $13/plate but then turning around and not allowing your child to sub rice (which was dry and disgusting-likely pre made ) for French fries on the kids menu. However their portions are out of control large. The salsa was served in large bowls- that even if it were good we would not have put a dent in it!- and they gave us two bowls with one salsa claiming to be spicy (perhaps more barbecue sauce in this one)? The enchilada took up an entire plate after they drowned it in canned sauce. Just didn't make sense- something is wrong with the guy in the back that thinks what he is serving can pass as food! I highly advise NOT...
Read moreUnfortunately today was a bad experience at the restaurant. I adore this place, as it usually has good food, and we have eaten there quite a bit, but today our waitress appeared as though she despised us. Not one smile or any chitchat, and it wasn't even busy, so she had time to! Her voice was dry and empty, and we were finished eating for 10 whole minutes before she came over to ask if we were good and wanted anything, which we needed refills and napkins during, but no help there. She kept cutting us off while we were ordering to ask questions, and seemed generally like she hated her job. It's really unfortunate. Not only that, but the food was rather dry and soulless. I didn't feel any love in the food at all, which is why I chose this place over, say, Taco Bell. I feel sorry for the people who had my waitress as well, and I genuinely have no clue why she was like this. We were polite, stacked our plates so she could easily bus our table, and always smiled for her. No clue why she was...
Read moreThis was one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had. My husband and I stopped by on our way to Denver, hoping for good Mexican food. That is far from what we got. I had the Supreme Fries. The guacamole on them had a very off taste. Almost as if the onions were past their prime. The fries were hard despite being smothered in what was supposed to be a spicy green chile sauce. I also had a soft taco. It was quite large and filled to the brim with toppings. The tomatoes however were soggy; the tortilla hard, and very cold. My husband had the combination plate with a steak burrito, refried beans, rice, and added a soft taco for an additional $2. The steak in the burrito was minimal and had no flavor. The rice was cold and the beans a glob. The taco was smaller than mine but the result the same. At least the chips were good. The 2 salsas, not so much. We will...
