Jimmy's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Kearny

I have been here on 5-6 occasions for some of their live music events and every time I have known going in ok the service is horrendous but the staff is left out to dry and they are understaffed to start with. So I was there with my family and friends this past Friday night for a celebration of life for a great friend and knew it would be crowded so whatever ill handle the 30 minute or more wait for a drink, I'll even let slide that there is no inventory on even simple drinks. ( they ran out of captain Morgan, Jack Daniels, 5 of 7 of the tap beers were capped) but at the end when I went to pay my $500 dollar bill I see that they not only have pretty high prices but ok that fine but also an illegally high %10 percent processing fee for credit cards that management insists is what he is charged by the company therefore he can charge it and will not wave it. overall this place really needs to step up and get it together or they will run out of...

went here for a live show this past weekend. show was great, the place was everything but. would NOT recommend eating here. my friend ordered a med rare burger, waited 45 minutes, and then when he finally got it there was a long curly hair in the food. we watched him legit pull it OUT of his MOUTH!!! cook in the back had her long hair just out. no hairnet, no ponytail, nothing. he wanted to tell the bartender about it but he disappeared into the kitchen. my friend waited at least 15-20 mins holding the hair to show to him. guy comes back, we show him, he doesn’t apologize but takes the rest of his food away. acted like we were lying. worst part, guy had the AUDACITY to CHARGE HIM for the burger!!!! are you kidding me???? horrible service, horrible food, horrible place all around. definitely will not...

I came to watch a band perform. Asked the bartender for a soda. He brings it and I give my card. He proceeds to tell me it’s either cash or a 10$ minimum. I had no issues with that but don’t want to pay 10$ for a soda and asked to cancel it since I didn’t know prior. He says he can’t he already poured it and it’s out of his inventory so I have to pay for the drink that I wouldn’t have bought had I known that information prior. Instead of doing the right thing and telling me not to worry about it, he pretty much forced me to pay 10$ for the soda that I now no longer wanted. Maybe I’m overreacting but that doesn’t feel like good...
