Burger Stand — Restaurant in Keego Harbor

So, on a whim, after passing this place several times and wondering what establishment this was, I decided to walk in and take a look.

The fact that there was no name on the front of the shop didn't clue me in to what I was walking in to.

Color me impressed, amazed and hungry for me. The owner showed me the ingredients, told me about the potato rolls (Martin's - a great Philadelphia area company, being from Philly myself, I was familiar and all too happy to partake) and his method for cooking the best sliders I have ever had.

The meat is amazing, is perfectly seasoned and cooked (as he promised), the cheese is a perfect match, and the caramelized onions were absolutely amazing.

Now, my wife is a tough critic when it comes to food (don't ask her to critique my cooking - she's brutal at times). However, not only did she tear through the sliders, she enjoyed the onion rings which were lauded as the best she has ever had.

So, they won over my wife, which is no small feat... and I am a fan for life and plan to make many a trip to this place in the future.

Do not pass this place by, if you have a hankering for some elevated (dare I say, gourmet) sliders and sides - this is your place. Look no further - highly...

I was on break in the area and just wanted a quick burger. McDonald's was right in front of me, but my intestines would've been angry. My Google search led me here and I am so glad it did. As soon as you walk in you notice the cleanliness. From the vents in the grill to the baseboards around the floor it was immaculate. The menu is small and very easy to navigate. The customer service from the cook was appreciated and I could tell I was welcomed. The owner, (I forget his name but I think it was Les, Liam, or Lem), was friendly. What stood out was his dedication to his business. Just watching his care and direction he gave his employees, noticing the detail he wanted to put into the food and his willingness to sit and talk to a first time customer was beyond my expectations. On top of that the burger was small, but REALLY delicious and filling with fries. "Two very enthusiastic thumbs up! Fine...

Just from the pictures alone, I was very eager to try the sliders at Burger Stand. They looked amazing. I finally made it over there and these sliders were everything I was hoping for and more. They are the best sliders I’ve ever had, and I’ve been to all of the popular places in Oakland County. These are not greasy which is a major plus. But the taste of these sliders is beyond anything I’ve ever had. I also tried one with bacon and onions (pictured) and it was a near religious experience. We were so impressed that we are going to have Burger Stand do our daughter’s grad party this summer. We can’t wait for that party! No, literally, we can’t wait and we will be back to the Burger Stand many times...
