I have patronized EB since the early 2000’s. My grandsons were babies and the one is a young adult now. I have seen this restraunt evolve from being a warm personable, light and friendly, family type atmosphere to one that is a stagnant, and more or less than a one of tolerance attitude. Let me say … I recently visited my favorite go to eatery and I was yelled at by a nonwhite Early Bird waitress. I was waiting quietly to be seated. When my booth became ready, this waitress turned to me with glaring eyes and said in a loud commanding tone. Your booth is ready in the back. She was clearly annoyed. I had to sit there a minute to decide if I wanted to take the booth or get up and walk out the door. The lady was beyond rude to me. I carry myself with dignity and respect. The fact that she felt comfortable to relate to me, a long time customer in that manner speaks very strongly to what is happening to Early Bird. We live in a diverse community … so to be treated rudely at a neighborhood staple within the community speaks volumes. This is so crazy. I’ll think twice before I walk through those doors to have a pleasant meal, which was my experience in the past. **This is to the owner of Early Bird. It’s just because you have a non white staffs of immigrants does not mean they are exempt from a discrimination law suit. I have nothing against immigrants- I love all human beings, period. No one is better than the next person. You bleed red blood just like I do when I bleed. Everyone should be treated with dignity and respect in a public restraunt. If you are non tolerant of certain non white cultures frequencing the restraunt turn it into a private club whereby you can admit only members or preferred people you respect. But you can put non white staff in your restruant to treat nonwhite cultures indifferently and rude! And take our money to keep your restraunt open. I’m very sorry to have to say I’ll probably never come back there. This probably doesn’t matter to you. I’ve gone there for many years. Bye to all my friends there (waitress sweethearts at Early Bird) Your coworker with the long black hair went too far at my last visit there. Rudeness is a deal breaker. Bye...
Read moreSo this is my second time coming to this place since the pandemic. My wife and I came in there before and it was packed lots of people there seemed a very inviting place. I come in there this morning right when they first open and I noticed right off the bat that the place is very clean and the atmosphere is very friendly. My waiter Misa was a very nice individual and professional. My only drawback would be the food that I ordered was not that good. Last time I came with the wife I had the breakfast skillet and it was amazing! But eating my steak that I bought I realized there was a lot of fat and Gristle on the side of the steak. Which kind of took away from the experience of eating steak and eggs. Also the hash browns I asked to be cooked a little bit crispy they were just a little bit crispy barely at all. The bathroom was very nice the only problem in there was it was incredibly small. So if somebody is bigger perhaps they would have a difficult time going in there.. overall the restaurant was nice. I drove to three different places to find a place that was open for breakfast. I was very fortunate to find this place. But the portion as well as the steak itself was average. I love the sausage links as they were huge! Definitely will come back again to see what the next adventure holds for me. Otherwise an okay place to eat if you're hungry. Another thing for the price that I paid for the meal I expected a little bit better. Sorry for the lengthy review but I try to be as honest as possible. The one positive thing was the server was very professional and friendly and helpful. Just work on a couple of those things and I think overall the next experience will be...
Read moreGreat food, terrible layout...
This place has amazing food, but can only really accommodate parties of 4 or less. People would show up with parties of 5 or more and find themselves waiting for an hour or more for seating. I was not in one of these parties, but I had the ability to see them still waiting long after I’d been seated. Which is fine, cause having been there now I would never make the mistake of bringing more than 4 people at a time. But hey some people just can’t put it together.
Do yourself a favor, and show up when they open. If you show up between 9 and 11 you’ll be waiting awhile even for a two seater, because the place is a favorite of senior citizens that take their time. I mean REALLY take their time.
Prices are very reasonable for the level of food they are serving, highly recommend their skillets, which are actually served in a cast iron skillet, and not some plate skillet. if you know your skillets you know how the dish actually affects the flavor. It’s like the difference between drinking from a glass or plastic.
Staff was great. Our waitress was amazing, I think I waited all of three seconds for anything to be filled like water, or coffee.
Would have been a 5 Star review, but I’m a real stickler for comfort, and as I said it had a terrible layout. It’s very close quarters, so expect to hear every conversation, child screaming, and anxiety driven comment around you. If I do go back it will be only...
