AJ's Hideaway Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Keizer

AJ’s has always been a home away from home for many people around town! I’ve heard people refer to it as a “Cheers” atmosphere🍻 The bartenders are very friendly, make excellent drinks and are always running around making sure everyone is constantly served! Brandon is the best, always great conversations and top notch drinks!👏🏻 The cooks always bring out good food and keeping the special menu fresh! Lots of people come back for the food, great date night spot! Perfect place for a family gathering, they are one of the only bars in town that allow kids! I believe kids can be in the dining area till 8pm and they have coloring books available. The staff are very welcoming to kids, which is wonderful to see. You’ll see all walks of life at this bar!

Management has been doing so many upgrades on the place over the years, it’s looking amazing! New flooring, seating, re-modeled bathroom and they added some plants and decor. Very cozy environment and they have a fireplace in the dining area. Plus they always keep things fresh, like tacos tuesdays and brunch Sundays! They also decorate for the holidays! Went here for the first time due to the fact we wanted to watch the rest of the Packers game and figured it would be playing, but we have also had this recommended to us a few times and just never got the chance to try.

Place is large and was very busy for 11:30 given NFL games were on but we only had a 5 minute wait time to get initially greeted and served. Servers were very polite despite being busy as hell and there being only two of them. We ordered in total, 4 Old Fashions, a beer on tap, the Club Sandwich, Bacon Cheeseburger and Chicken Wrap.

First - AJ's well drinks are literally $4. We had to do a triple check during our payment because we couldn't believe it! This is insane and they get a five star just on this fact alone.

Second - look and smell of the food was fantastic. Burger was solid all around, chicken wrap was very tasty and the Club Sandwich grew on us as we ate it. The Club Sandwich is a BEAST though - it's worth the price twice over for how much food it is. Our only complaint is because of this, the sandwich is extremely difficult to eat in the moment.

All in all, we can highly recommend AJ's - great 4 star solid food but 5 star service and drink prices/food...

I wish I could mark zero instead of a one. Food was okay but the service was terrible. When we arrived we sat at the table by the door and no one noticed us for about 10 minutes. We were given menus and asked what we would like to drink. We ordered coffee and a soda. The coffee was cold. After we got our food no one checked on us the whole time we were eating. As a result, I had to go up to the bar area and ask for refills. Also when I got my food, I did not receive the sour cream that was supposed to come with my meal and I was supposed to have sour dough bread and got white bread. Then we had to wait about 20 minutes after finishing we were finally asked how things were. At that point I just wanted to leave so I asked for the check. I used to frequent this establishment however the last 2 times I have ate here i have been extremely disappointed with the service. Last time I ate there the waitress forgot to put my order in with the rest of the tables orders then lied about it saying my food would be up shortly. However I did not receive my food until every one else was already done eating. Totally have lost a...
