OK; Recent-ish transplant from the bay area so I have some baggage when it comes to my Mexican food standards so lets get the bad outta the way 1st... $21 bux for 3 fish tacos?!? $21 bux for a burrito w a paper thin tortilla? $15 for STREET tacos? $18 for a margarita that seems like they forgot the tequila... I fell like the pricing is a bit outrageous!
Ok now on to the good/ great... I'm a picky a** chick when it comes to my molé... and let me yell it from the hilltop; their molé is freaking AMAZING! Just request a second tortilla for the fajita burrito if you order it and do yourself a favor... if their not busy, ask if you can substitute the red burrito sauce for the dark molé and thank me later!
The drinks are HUGE but again do yourself a favor and add a shot on the side if you like some punch to your margaritas... OH and they are GORGEOUS!!!
Fajita platter... Holy hell, I have never seen anything served so beautifully and taste so great! (tip: if your not that big on onions ask them to go light on the onions)
The ambiance is stunning and I have no words for how beautiful the art is, it's just gorgeous! The staff are super friendly and always smiling The music can be a little loud at times but it adds to the atmosphere and fun vibes. Sports shows have always been on when we have gone Super comfy seating Great lighting -Portions are huge so go hungry!
All in all I won't hesitate to keep going back, recommend them & take people their as well; I just need to make sure to check my bank balance before I go haahaa.
Really tho, it's a great spot to eat at and I highly recommend it to everyone at least once...
don't forget about the molé tho... ohh my gawd...
Read moreMy family of 5 came in the other evening and by the end of the visit, we thought someone was playing a joke on us because we were just baffled at the terrible service. A party of 8-9 came in after us, but was seated before us. We placed our order before them, yet they received their drinks and food before our table even had drinks. 4 different waitresses came to re-take our 2 alcoholic drink order before we just said never mind. They continued to bring out the drinks and gave them for free. A kid’s drink provided was incorrect and one meal came out 10 minutes after everyone else’s. Once we had our food, we had to ask for forks but the waitress didn’t speak English so a different waitress came to help. Then we needed napkins, again had the issue of the waitress (a different one) not speaking English and a 4th waitress coming to see what we needed. I am pretty sure we saw every waitress in that restaurant, only 2 had a clue what they were doing and they were so busy we only saw them once or twice. We were analyzing everything thinking “did we come in last minute?” No. “Are they really busy?” No, empty tables all around. Quick trip to the bathroom with my child was… grimy. Crumpled up tp on the floor and just messy, a bar bathroom vibe. When we were paying to leave our waitress apologized and said they were training and some were “just not getting it.” Then she told us they were opening a new location in South Salem and we would “probably like it better at that location” once open. So, we get the feeling that we are not welcome at this location for whatever reason and that’s fine, we won’t be coming back to either locations....
Read moreWe have gone here quiet a few times since being in keizer and all the other times were great. Attentive staff and good food. Unfortunately this was not one of those nights. My boyfriend and I are both tall and not petite in any manner. And we were sat at a booth made to fit 6 year old. The seats were very close to the table making it very uncomfortable to sit much less want to eat. I had been asked by multiple wait staff what I wanted to drink when I just asked for a bloody mary. Food came out and tasted fine from what we could eat, our stomachs were so pushed in from the seating we didn't eat much. We were ignored from most of the staff, we found it odd because all of the other times the staff were great! Waited for someone to bring a box, then waiting almost 10 minutes after getting the box to get the check from our waitress, she never showed back up. So we went to the front and no one understood we wanted to pay. They looked like deer in headlights. The manager came up and explained to them what to do. No one spoke english, and I unfortunately don't speak Spanish very well though I did try. It seems 99% of the wait staff were new and didn't know what to do. I'm all for teaching new hires. But maybe not when there are customers and it's a busy Friday night. Overall it's an okay place just needs...
