Zero Stars. My husband and I went in last week. At first when you walk in you get a kick of smell of the nail salon next door. As soon as we were in the lady and husband were very welcoming. We were looking at the menu and the lady was NON STOP talking and wanting us to order what she wanted to make. We finally ordered. And she didn’t wash her hands and kept touching her hair. My husband and I couldn’t have a conversation every 5 second she was talking about something and how we needed to order this or that. We let her know we were ok with what we ordered. I asked for spicy mayo on the side she said no I pour on top, I said no it’s ok on the side. When I got my food it was poured over my food. I then asked for spicy mayo on the side she said no I pour on it for you. I said yes thank you but can I have some on the side. The spicy mayo was NO Spicy mayo. It was mayo, salt and food coloring. I wiped off the mayo and ate my sushi with out, and the taste of the nail chemical had over powered my food. My husband took a bite and was done. Not only did the place smell of nail chemicals, the lady was pushy and never let us enjoy our dinner date in our own conversation, she didn’t wash her hands, and when we asked for our check she wanted to know why if we said we were eating there. I said, we have to go. We took our food and tossed it in trash at the sushi place down the road. Now their they have customer service, respect, and let you enjoy a dinner date, and we could order what ever we wanted. I’ll never recommend this place to anyone. Unless they want to die of...
Read moreIm giving it 1 because you can't give 0 stars. When my 2 boys and I walked in it had a strong chemical smell. We thought maybe it was cleaner or something. I was going to leave right after we sat down...I didn't against my better judgment. My 9 yr old said it's not so bad once you get used to it. 😕 The lady bragged about how fresh their rolls were "Every roll is popular, they're all so fresh". We ordered Edamame (which looked old and had a really weird taste to it.), 2 california rolls and a Shrimp Caterpillar. The boys both ate their California Rolls but they were really loose and messy. My roll was covered in so many sauces that you couldn't taste anything else, also really loosely rolled. We had to go up to the counter and get napkins and chopsticks. She never offered us anything to drink or came back to see if we needed anything. There is a cooler conventionally located out in the lobby to grab a drink, which you get charged for... when we left i felt like there was burning in the back of my throat. I kept feeling like I needed to clear my throat. It felt like I had drank nail polish remover... that's when i realized it was connected to a nail salon. 😳 Wouldn't recommend to...
Read moreWhat hit me first upon walking in was the fact that the chemical smell from the nail salon next door is really overpowering. It burned my nose and made me lightheaded. My kids and I decided to overlook that fact and ordered.
The staff, husband and wife I assume, we're nice. She's chatty and struck me as having to help people who don't normal eat sushi pick from the menu. She was full of suggestions and inviting us to look at the pictures of items on the wall. As someone who eats sushi fairly regularly, I found this overbearing but, I get it.
The sashimi salmon and tuna we had was good, as we're the tuna and California rolls. Not amazing or anything but, good.
However, the tabiko (flying fish roe) was awful. My son and I both love tobiko but, neither of us ate our second piece. It was orange instead of red, cold enough to hurt my teeth (must have been frozen VERY recently), weeping orange liquid that stained the rice and pooled on the plate, and tasted awful.
While I wouldn't necessarily warn people away from this place, I certainly wouldn't recommend it because we won't be going back. If you do want to give them a chance, maybe order your sushi as takeout and avoid the...
