I hate doing this because I love the burgers, but being an invisible customer on a very slow night is just not good. Ordered online. Came in for pick up, talked to the young girl, gave her my name, she confirmed it wasnāt quite ready. No problem. I sit down and kill some time on my phone. Look up and realize itās been about 20 minutes. Also, I see that the folks who came in after me are enjoying their food. Looked around, made eye contact with 2 other workers and waited a few more minutes. For reference, when I first sat down and āDanāsā order was ready, someone yelled out āDan!ā I expected the same. I walked up to the counter and could see my bag just sitting there. Asked if it was mine. It was. Got a āsorry, I didnāt know that was yoursā. No one else is in the store waiting for food but me! This can only happen if you donāt care, and no one didā¦.except the cook. That guy cared because the burger was really good and made to order. Kept me from only giving one star. Extremely disappointed in a place I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent late right before closing got the Knockout burger and fries. Burger was half price with side purchase grand opening special. The patty itself was large and seasoned and was all of a half pound. Typically burgers just get salted this patty had a definite seasoning mix which I enjoyed. The bin was light and did fine conveying the ingredients to my mouth without falling apart or being to bready. Overall very good burger. The fries seemed good a didn't really get to try but a couple as my wife gobbled them up pretty quick. The burger made it home better than the fries but both did well. 4 stars because the burger came as on the menu. Typically burgers here seem to be a la carte make as you want since I had a pre-designed one I didn't even think but it had no condiments no ketchup, mayo, mustard? I fault me and the menu design on that one. Overall tasty and filling so go again. Also price is normal for this type of establishment not good or bad although I always think double digits for a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe had been visiting to Chapps for 5 years weekly. From their old location to the new one. The staff and the cook knew us because I order the same thing each visit, why tinker with success. Part of my burger would always include a over hard fried egg. The combination of the wheat bun, bacon and their swiss cheese with the egg was perfect in my humble opinion. Every week for 4 1/2 half years on our way back from church. We get a nice greeting from the staff and the cook would lean over and give us a smile and a wave. Then came the, duh duh duh, the egg surcharge! Now Chapps was always the most expensive of the restaurants we visit on a regular basis but it was always worth the extra couple bucks. Now add the dollar egg charge (if memory serves) and that was too much to bear. I don't feel this is a good way to treat customers, especially as prices on everything else have been rising as well. I miss my burger but enough was enough and we had to say good...
