Terrible service and Terrible customer service . They wouldn't refund my order they got wrong though admitted they got my order wrong!! What Terrible guest service. Will never return. I ordered through their "slice" service. Double daves told me to call Slice and gave me the#. I did so, and the slice customer service person said hold on while I call the restaurant to confirm you made contact about the incorrect order. The customer service person said they would refund, $2 for my missing pineapple on my pizza! Ha ha. No, that's not how it works I said. The whole pizza was wrong, it isn't just like if a side salad was ordered and missing. My topping on my pizza was missing, therefore the whole pizza should be refunded. They said they won't do that. Really, how ridiculous! The customer isn't always right, though this time I was and they admitted to it. Though still would not offer me a refund for the pizza. They also forgot my red sauce all together on my second pizza! Wow, now both those are huge mistakes that affect the quality and taste of my meal. No thanks, won't be back and the manager was rude and said oh well! And couldn't be customer service oriented and just offer a refund. That's sad. They must be going down as a business if they can't refund less then $30! I'll go any where but here!
In response to the owners response... No thanks, I'm not going to again give you my contact info. You the "owner" who responded, didn't even leave your name! Unprofessional. You or your managers ( the 2) managers I spoke with at Keller Texas location had your chance the several times I called for a refund on the order. They told me several times no they won't refund me. If the owner whom is nameless apparently, cares... then tell your managers next time to give them YOUR contact info since you apparently care. Cause when someone (me) tells them if they don't refund the order that was incorrect that I'll go to Google review and write what happened, then I gave several chances already. They still said ok to my saying if this isn't corrected I'll write an honest review. So, see...
Read moreNot going to give this restaurant a 1 - star, nor will I release time and date information as I'd like to protect the employee I dealt with, but.... I stopped in recently and had noticed the place on my drive home. I actually popped a U-turn to come try this place on a whim. I was in a great mood, and ready to try just a few slices of possible to see if I'd like to add Double Dave's to my rotation of pizza place. The staff was not in the mood to deal with a new customer I guess. I asked about the buffet, which was literally stacked with pizza. I was told the buffet ended 20 minutes earlier. That's ok, I was after the time But see, I was really wanting to try something and the person I was dealing with wasn't having it. There just wasn't any kind of immediate offer to sell me anything. Not at all. Just a blank stare, deer in the headlights stare. Stone face. Just stood there and said no. So, without saying anything, I left. It's so unfortunate that 'warm body syndrome ' is used in food service establishments. I believe there's still hard working young adults that are out there. I don't know if I just caught this person at a bad time or something but I wasn't greeted when I came in, was told no in hopes of me leaving. I could see the disapproval of my being there all over their face. Unfortunately I let that interaction really mess my entire afternoon up and that's on me. I know better than to let something like that bother me but it did So here I am, writing this review. Double Dave... I really don't like doing this but you didn't even give me a chance to try an d like your pizza. it looked like a cozy spot too. Now I'll never know because I really don't care to see the person I...
Read moreWe're from Georgetown, TX and have ordered Double Dave's pizza with dairy free cheese from the location there probably 6-8 times and never had a problem. My wife has a dairy allergy and so it's great the DD offers dairy free cheese at all.
Unfortunately our experience ordering here today did not go well. When we got home with our order my wife immediately recognized that her dairy free pizza did not look correct. My mother-in-law who had placed the order called and spoke to a manager who assured us, multiple times, the pizza had been made with dairy free cheese as requested. My wife, with some reluctance, has decided to give it a try and was literally holding a slice when the manager called us back and told us that it was in fact the wrong cheese. They hadn't made it dairy free after all.
She offered to have the pizza re-made but that wasn't super helpful since we'd picked it up and the round trip to the restaurant was around 30 minutes. It's one thing to make a mistake and own up to it, it's another to push us off as though we are in the wrong for even asking and make an assumption that was ultimately wrong. I do have to give her credit for calling back because I'm sure she was embarrassed, but she's really lucky my wife's hesitation meant she hadn't taken a bite yet that would have potentially put her in the hospital.
Pretty much the only reason to order a dairy free pizza is an intolerance or an allergy, and as a restaurant you should take that seriously because that's some liability you should not want to have to deal with. The kicker? There was no reason to rush because the entire restaurant was empty and no one else was...
