As a former employee from this establishment I will give you all an honest and accurate review on why your orders take so long, why your food isn’t quality, and some other stuff. Starting work here was alright, our general manager Elizabeth made sure things were good, but as soon as she left to another location things went downhill quickly with the general manager Heather. Heather is the type that doesn’t care, even for customers, and picks favorites. Because of her we had longer times than even the summer time ranging from 30-40 minutes or longer, the favorite employees she handpicks leave the kitchen during rush hour and mess around in the break room, and most of the food can be considered dead. Rather than using the timers for the food before prep, the food was left in their cubbies until more needed to be cooked. So when you order fish or chicken, that stuff will have been in for hours on end. Longest we’ve had a product in was 7 1/2 hours. Fries are cold when you get them because they have them, and the food laying out for a long time until you get em. And that brings me to doordashes. That will always be last priority, online orders are typically second to them. those could be left out for an hour or 30 minutes before the dasher gets them, so don’t order anything cold EVER. Even then the prepping for it is lazy and horrible. Today my friend ordered there and received a bag with actual tape sealing it rather than stickers. And inside was worse. The cup had no lid and Dr. Pepper had gotten everywhere. Now let’s get back to Heather and the employees. I remember back when we had a employee that picked her nose and ate here boogers while bagging and giving out food as well as putting fries in the boxes (hands always touch the fries btw). When she was reported Heather had defended her since she was a girl and let it go. So don’t expect some of the employees there to have cleanliness. Many don’t tend to wash their hands to the point where a manager has to alert it if they even care. Employees also are allowed to be fantasy characters, one employee of which wore plastic elf ears weeks to work and ofc Heather didn’t care. Anyways I could say more but I hope this is enough for you all to understand that this is not a good place to go. I’d say it’s better just to go all the way to Soldotna just for McDonalds, I can guarantee it may be...
Read moreAs an Alaskan who has personally experienced discrimination due to my skin color, I want to share a distressing incident that occurred while I was out fishing. Seeking to enhance my salmon storage, I decided to make a quick stop at 3 Bears and then grabbed a burger at McDonald's.
Unfortunately, during my visit, some of the employees or their acquaintances treated me with extreme rudeness. They even went so far as to place some trash on my table when I momentarily stepped away to get a soda. Upon my return, one woman deliberately stood up next to me and began shouting hurtful and racist comments, attempting to intimidate and erase my presence. This deeply hurtful behavior was further amplified by her friends, who laughed in a manner reminiscent of bullies.
Leaving the establishment in distress, I found that these individuals followed me to my car, adding to the already painful experience. Despite this, I decided to speak with another manager at the drive-thru. He was visibly shocked and apologetic about what had happened and recognized the severity of the situation. Promptly, he issued me a refund to address the distressing experience.
Feeling the need to address the matter further, I reached out to the owner of the establishment. He mentioned that one of the managers had reviewed the video tapes, which confirmed the aggression and offensive behavior directed towards me.
This incident serves as a poignant reminder that we still have work to do to combat discrimination and foster a more inclusive and respectful society.
By sharing my story, I hope to raise awareness about the impact of such incidents and promote positive change for a...
Read moreI'm from Anchorage, and when I visit Kenai, my in-laws love when I deliver McDonald's to them. Tonight I decided to surprise them with a treat from this McDonald's in Kenai. I felt like I was the one who got the treat when I was greeted by such an upbeat professional at the speaker in the drive thru (Michael). I was greeted with an "amazing" positivity. Michael was kind enough to explain they had run out of the filet of fish, yet; gave a few other options, such as tarter sauce with French fries. What a way to get me to order something else instead of canceling my order. Then when I arrived at the second window to get my order, I was greeted by Kelly, who was equally as polite and friendly as Michael. Kelly was kind explained my double cheeseburger was actually a triple, explained why, and asked if that was okay with me. What terrific customer care. Bottom line, the food was hot and fresh, fries were crispy and hot, my in-laws were as happy as ever AND the bonus, I felt like an appreciated customer. Thank you Michael and Kelly! You really made a difference! Thank you for an AMAZING fast...
