Francisca Charcoal Chicken & Meats | Food Truck Kendall — Restaurant in Kendall

I am giving it 3 stars because there times where the food have been pretty good. I have been going to Francisca at Doral for years and its always a delicious experience. I moved to Kendall and found out this Francisca’s truck and I have bought food from them several times. It is not as good as Dorals location but we like it. Unfortunately, today we ordered take out only to find a completely dried out chicken. So dry that under the skin it looked like plastic. I ended up throwing most of it away as I felt bad to feed some to my dogs. My husband eat it and felt sick afterward. I mean if you have been cooking a chicken for hours, you know is going to be dry, so don't give it to your poor take out customer, its not fair. I did notice that most of the time I have ordered before they have made me wait for the food but this time it was pretty quick. I guess they cooked too many chickens and not too many customers. I would stop ordering and eating here and I would definitely not recommend it. Your best bet is...

I've drove by this food truck, next to the old Circle-K, many times and felt tempted to try their food. Today, I finally did. I ordered the 1/4 chicken with rice and beans. The guy working there was a genuine delight to talk to, real great experience. Warm, friendly and welcoming. The plastic-ware and paper bag was high quality and visually appealing and trendy, no expenses were spared!

Then I tried the food, the chicken falls of the bone and melts in your mouth. Flavor and texture, both so good! The rice was pleasantly sour, with enough dryness to feel amazing as I chewed it. The beans were sweet and savory, rice and beans elevated each other's profiles. And combining all three chicken, rice and beans, it was amazing!

And the price is totally affordable! I'd gladly pay extra $10 for the same food, because it's that good. A hidden gem, right next...

I love the place very nice and private and I loved the service and my review is not meant to bash at all just to maybe give the guys a heads up. I got the bbw ribs and got them to go. Cole slaw amazing as were the plantains....Ribs were not fresh made and served which is not a problem....the problem was I get home get my setting ready get ready to taste and i grab a frozen cluster of ribs....not cold from the 5 min ride home....ice cold from taken out of fridge/freezer and not heated properly. I end up doing that and ribs are great so is ther bbq sauce but guys next time pre check before u serve. Im not upset I get it sometimes it happens.
