I recently had the pleasure of dining at Musette in Kennebunkport, and it was a truly unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the warm and inviting ambiance set the tone for a delightful evening. The decor strikes a perfect balance between rustic charm and elegant sophistication, with soft lighting and tasteful accents that create a cozy atmosphere. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles and provided attentive yet unobtrusive service throughout the Now, let’s dive into the food! The menu showcases a delightful fusion of local ingredients and seasonal flavors. We began our culinary journey with the featured Norumbega oysters, which were incredibly fresh. The fish ceviche was equally impressive, bursting with vibrant flavors and expertly balanced. For the starter and main course, the butter-poached lobster and gnocchi was nothing short of divine, rich and indulgent. The Maine scallop, perfectly seared and served over a sage butter sauce, were a true highlight, showcasing the freshness of the ocean. We also enjoyed the flank steak and chicken breast, artfully presented atop a Planeta cake with a smooth black bean puree that added a wonderful depth to the dish. Dessert was the perfect finale to our already extraordinary meal. We shared the Maple Panna Cotta leaving us completely satisfied. Overall, Musette exceeded our expectations in every way. The combination of exquisite food, welcoming service, and charming atmosphere makes it a must-visit for anyone in Kennebunkport. I can’t wait to return!

We love this spot and come here every year when we visit Kennebunkport. The staff is always so friendly and they are so flexible with any modifications. For example, our kids don’t appreciate blueberry pancakes like we do! Instead they are all about chocolate chip and Musette had no problem making this change. This year I ordered the breakfast tacos and my husband got a veggie omelet. We got a side of bacon. Everything was delicious. The restaurant has changed its layout creating a more open and spacious seating area with better access to the bathroom. Very thoughtfully done. The neighborhood is adorable. So while you wait, you can take in the views or enjoy a nice walk. Definitely a great spot for a meal with the family! Enjoy!

Walking up the stairs to the porch, we received a warm welcome. It was like visiting family. The decor is very warm and cozy. Everyone working here is kind and friendly. We had a nice little nook and a high chair for our 2yo. The menu has so much good options, it’s hard to choose. We had the fresh burrata, the lobster pasta, delicious tartare like you’d eat in Paris, tasty scallops, the amazing porc chop, the white chocolate mousse melt in your mouth, everything was absolutely perfect. I can’t wait to have their brunch tomorrow! What a beautiful and inviting place. Can’t wait to be back !

Service was terrible. Took nearly an hour to receive salads. The salad was embarrassing to serve at a restaurant that is supposedly high caliber- or really any place outside of a college dorm. It was a (barely) glorified handful of iceberg lettuce with a few chickpeas and croutons.

Servers were unapologetic and ill equipped to handle the situation. In fact, our server just disappeared for an hour and failed to even check in on us or proactively apologize for the horrendous service. Another staff member did not even make it to the table to refill water glasses when asked. After we had waited an hour for food (with young children) and asked politely for some bread, no one could even deliver that. It took a second person asking 20 minutes later for some bread to arrive.

Entrees were decent but overpriced. My scallops were cooked perfectly but the dish was drenched in a buerre blanc sauce that essentially felt like it was just drenched in butter; this unfortunately overshadowed the seasonal veggies.

Certainly won’t go back. Save...

I went here with my family who have been coming up to Kennebunkport for a long time. First of all our orders took almost 45 minutes to come out, and when they did come out they were staggered twenty minutes so by the time another member of our family got their food some people were already finished.

But the worst offense from this place came when my sister ordered pancakes. It took twenty minutes after everyone had gotten their food for the pancakes to come out. When they finally did come out my sister cut into them and they were simply raw pancake batter cooked around the edge. The host apologized and then cooked more pancakes and brought them out.

The second batch of pancakes had a gigantic long hair from the chef in them. Not only did that happen but also the restaurant did not offer to pay for the meal. I would never come here again and it is a poor replacement for...
