China Wok — Restaurant in Kennesaw

I only gave a 1 star b/c I could not give 0. The person at the front who takes orders and answers the phone is HORRIBLE!! He is always snarky like a woman, but I typically ignore as people are different and I figured maybe he did not like his job. I went in there today as I always visit often. Their lo mein was good yesterday so I went for more today. Yesterday I had a small lo mein with an egg roll. Today I went in to order the same thing but he asked if I wanted the lunch special. I was going to say no but then I asked, "How much is it?" He later replies, "six two seven." At first he said it so fast I was going to ask to repeat and then he states, "six dot seven." So I told him I would take it. I asked if it came with an egg roll and he says, "Yes." I mentioned to him I paid $8+ on yesterday and he did not mention the lunch special while handing him my debit card. I tell him I wish he would have mentioned yesterday b/c the lunch special is cheaper and it comes with more and still with an egg roll. He later tells me, "I can't tell you what to order." I let him I am aware he cannot tell me what to order but just as he mentioned the lunch special today he could have mentioned to me yesterday b/c they don't have lunch special signs. Also, not to mention yesterday I asked what sizes they had and he pointed me to the small and large containers on the wall but not at all mentioned a lunch special. He later becomes snarky and huffs stating, "I cant tell you to order large or small." I advised him I am not expecting him to order for me however, if he works there and his job is to provide good customer service he should've mentioned it b/c they do not have signs displaying they even offer a lunch special. The kicker is he then hands me my card and advises, "I don't want to do business with you." Really? So I repeated, "You do not want to do business with me?" So I tell him that is fine b/c I don't and will not spend my money there and I walked out as I called him an idiot. The funny thing is not all did I have an attitude and I was still going to buy the food if he would have just mentioned he forgot to tell me about the lunch special. I mean people forget but for him to tell me that he no longer wants to do business with me b/c he cannot provide good customer service. My coworker was with me and he too informed he will no longer do business there I will go to the news with this one. So if you do not want to be mistreated like your money does not matter or talked down to do not waste spending your money. I have already told my other coworkers which have agreed they will no longer purchase anything from here. Ten...

Great food, less than ideal customer service. I ordered a chicken with broccoli last Saturday night and picked it up at 9:22pm (they close at 9:30), I got home poured the dish onto my plate and low and behold my chicken with broccoli was a shrimp with broccoli. Unfortunately I am allergic to shrimp so I couldn’t eat it. I called up the next day to tell them what had happened and they’re closed on Sundays. I didn’t leave them a voicemail because I didn’t want to be that person and figured I’d just call up the next day and they’d make it right. I called them up today to tell them what happened and they told me they can’t do anything unless I bring back the dish. Now keep in mind this was 2 nights ago, not to mention I am a regular customer, and I leave them a $4.27 tip every time I go, but I basically asked the guy so you don’t believe me? And he said it’s not I don’t believe you it’s I need to show to the chef, and I was like so your chef doesn’t believe me? And he was like it has nothing to do with believing you I need to show to the chef. I was like so you would have wanted me to bring you a 2 day old half eaten order of shrimp with broccoli? And he says yes. And I said to him you’re probably going to lose my business over this (and keep in mind I’ve referred a lot of people to them and have been coming here for over 3 years) and he said sorry sir and was getting ready to hang up and I told him he just lost my business.

I have since given them a second chance and they have been great every time since, and for that reason I have raised their star...

Better off going to Hong Kong off of North Cobb Parkway. At least they're hot and sour soup actually taste peppery and sour also it doesn't taste like dog food like theirs does. I have not tried anything else here but the hot and sour soup but if that mountain sour soup tastes like that I would bet there other stuff doesn't taste as good. I have had numerous Chinese restaurants hot and sour soup in Georgia living here for almost 20 years and visiting outside of the country as well and this hot and sour soup is atrocious. If you want really good hot and sour soup go down to Tucker there is a place called Lucky Key and Fujiya it is the best hot and sour soup I've had in Georgia but if you want decent one in Kennesaw go to Hong Kong off of Cobb Parkway in the Publix...
