Last Saturday 2/10/24 I was able to convience my Familia from out Town to come over because i wanted to invite them to Kenosha and enjoy together as a Family at DeRango's. I have been there multiple times by my self and with some other company as well and never had such a bad experience as recently happend. We arrived at DeRangos at around 8-9pm. We sat down at an open table as we noticed one of the waitress (didnt get her name) coming over to greet us (which i seen before as a bartender before). She came over with not the greatest Manners and took our drink and food order. Everything was going well until she came back with drinks and a small basket of breastick and crackers and started to literally throw that to the table and started with a bad attitude. My Familia and i we were looking at each other because we couldnt believe the service so far.. We didnt say much and tried not to pay to much attention to her Rudeness... Then when she came back with our food again with very rude manners and we were all disappointed because she started to throw the Dishes again to the table and on top of that the food was wrong. We tried to explain the waitress that we didnt order what she bring but she started on confronting us instead and she said that there was nothing that she could do. At that point we were all now kind of upset because we never had a service like that , then she got even more smatter when out of nowhere she said " THIS IS NOT A PLACE FOR MEXICANS" then we just looked again at each other and couldnt believe what level of ignorance and poor education she just reached. In a place and a town with different Etnicities and Diversity i dont think there is room for comments like that. I dont think she will feel too welcome if she walked in to a Mexican Restaurant and the waitress or Waiter tell her the samething to her with her family. We didnt say much , we just got up and started to walking out the door as "she came outside to say that we had to pay for the food we didnt even touch and that she even bringed incorrectly. I just went back and pay only for the drinks that we did drink and walk away. I hope the owner can read this comment and talk to their personel , specially this "waitress" Is 2024 people cant go around been that way. Please select your workers properly and if necesary please teach them manners and respect since obviously she didnt get any education at home. My Family now is Very Disappointed about the experience and we might not come back only because of this person. Read moreThe behavior I witnessed from the manager today was absolutely shocking. It was very busy today and there was only one waitress on staff, who was very clearly pregnant.
I didn't mind the wait time considering not only the snowy day and the fact that there was only one person serving the tables many places closed early and workers probably couldnt make it to work. There was a loud commotion came from the kitchen. I assumed it was the waitress and a manager arguing given there really wasnt any other people ot could be. He was yelling about his dissatisfaction, saying she wasn't working to his liking. This seemed far from the truth. I was extremely satisfied with the service I received and very happy with how she handled the whole restaurant by herself.
The yelling continued for a while and it was so loud i could hear the manager yelling in the dining area, my waitress eventually stormed out, crying. I left and won't be coming back. If that's how they treat staff, I can only imagine what else happens in the restaurant when no one else is around. And to do this to your only waitress while she I'd heavily pregnant is beyond disrespectful. Although I am not a regular I do come here enough to know this server is amazing and did not deserve anything that was given to her today.
