Isla del Mar #4 — Restaurant in Kenosha

First and last time ever here. We sat down party of 4 ordered everything exactly the same the taco dinner. Food was excellent and very good. We had an issue with the jukebox being too loud . We asked that they turn it down and the owner said we can’t turn the music down. We asked our waitress with the hello kitty short if she could turn it down and she did. The music was still loud so our waitress turned it off for us. The owners wife was very rude and disrespectful and said other people are paying for the music for it to be on. Del Mar #4 is SO good! Very authentic, with a strong influence from the coast. The guacamole reminded us of a ceviche, it was absolutely delicious! My fiancée thought it was the best guac she's ever had. She also ordered the chicken fajitas. They were delicious! I ordered the tampiqueña de pollo, which was also fantastic! The portions are also very generous. We ordered takeout, which was ready very quickly. Service was very courteous. Next time we go we will definitely branch out and try the seafood offerings. What a great hole-in-the-wall find! I got the ceviche, which I’d never heard of before - raw shrimp, tomato, onion, avocado salad with crispy tostado and the best green salsa I’ve ever had in my life! You know a place is authentic when you’re the only white chic there. 😂 I would absolutely come back and try more of their menu! It was so good! I’d probably stick to takeout though - it’s a super casual, diner vibe - I prefer cozier spots...
