Wow! We stopped here after a day trip to a local beach and will travel to Kenosha to come back. They make you feel like family. I mean it's like you are at a friend's house and their grandma is cooking you dinner but she also does the grandma things, like happily smiled when our table was too crowded and helped us move to a bigger table, sweetly warned my eager 5 year old not to eat the hot pasta when she ignored me and was about to, and even brought us a free appetizer out to sample and popsicles for the kids. Definitely come on a weekday when it's not busy so you can interact with the family (I'm guessing they're family because it feels like it). We were a little confused when we went in, we didn't know you had to order from the window or seat your self but they walked us through everything and it was low stress that way (with 2 kids, we could sit and read the menu and order when we were ready). They even have a whole wheat pasta for people that want that. My family was equally impressed with the homemade sauces and the sausage. We also had a Detroit style pizza to take home to my husband and for leftovers. The only thing I would do next time is order extra sauce to take home to eat with the...
Read moreMy family and I love ordering from Renzo's. They are home of the Pizza Pocket: cheese and ingredients of your choice surrounded by a flaky crust and baked, and Renzo Fries: the same great flaky crust baked like a breadstick, but so much better.
They have good COVID guidelines in place. Call ahead to order and drive through their parking lot to the front door and someone brings you your food out. You have to call and pick up yourself- they do not participate in any delivery services. Also, they only accept cash so make sure you have some before ordering.
Renzo's has been a staple in this community for 47 years. They did that by serving great food for great prices. I've never had something on the menu that I didn't like. Their service is wonderful, I can truly tell how much they love their customers each time I order from them. Renzo's is a MUST TRY if...
Read morePicked up a plain cheese pizza during lunch hours. We did a taste test vs Wells Bros plain cheese. I’m from Connecticut (land of pizza) and a big fan and follower of all things pizza reviews. Amongst the reviewers in this taste test were 2 other lifelong Kenosha natives and 2 other out of town-ers. After a very careful and deeply analyzed taste test, our conclusion is that Renzo’s makes an absolutely underrated pie. Frank the owner and the rest of the staff should be very proud of their pizza. While Wells Brothers makes a better crispy crust, the flavor of the sauce on Renzo’s pie is more distinct and flavorful. Very good. My message to all in Kenosha and Racine: don’t sleep on Renzo’s tavern pie. Spectacular. PS: we also pounded down several orders of the Renzo’s fries and it put us in a coma....
