Sal's Pizza — Restaurant in Kenosha

BOY OH BOY 1st time trying sal's OMG i had the DELITE LITE pizza i had the thin crust and added sausage and the cheese bread sticks, the crust was just PERFECT crispy but just alittle chewy which i love just the rite amount of topping i tasted everyone one of them the garlic bread was PERFECT to not to soft or not to crispy just rite ,rolled in parmesan cheese (yes you get sauce with them) today i had a busy day and doing my workouts and chores on this hot humid day i said to myself "boy a good lite pizza would be good today i hope i find a good pizza today that would hit the spot" i went on line to look at all the pizzeria"s then i looked at ALL the reviews, sal"s had the best sal"s pizza was PERFECT but also brought back childhood memories i remember as a kid my dad would take me to a pizza place that tasted just like sal"s well i just had to give my review( which is long )but when you discover a treasure you just gotta SHOUT OUT PERFECTION well i just found my pizzeria FOREVER thank you for your wonderful pizza and bread sticks and also for bringing back childhood memories( awh i so miss my DAD) 5 stars are not enough i give...

After reading all the 5 star reviews on this restaurant, we thought we'd give it a try. The person taking my phone order was very nice, as was the cashier when I picked up our 14" cheese and sausage pizza with thin crust. The pizza smelled delicious in the car as I was driving home. I thought for sure I found a pizza that I was going to enjoy. I was, sadly, disappointed. I realize everybody's taste for pizza is different. I found it to have a rather bland taste. The sausage wasn't flavorful, like most Italian sausage usually is. The thin crust wasn't what I would consider thin, and although it wasn't a soggy crust, it was a very tough crust. Was a decent pizza. Ordered the stuffed and cheese sticks. The sauce for the cheese sticks was a little on the cold side, and there was a layer of grease, so probably use less oil next time. The pizza had a paper thin crust which meant it was soggy when I got home from picking it up. Pizza itself was very salty, but all the flavors were still there.

The cheese sticks are simply to die for though!

One thing I noticed was the level of dust through the small door that leads to the kitchen. There was a black appliance right by the door that did not look to be cleaned in awhile, and a fan that sat above the doors that was... Filthy. There is no way to put it besides filthy. Dust coated on it, brown and sticky...
