I went in to try their breakfast sandwiches. I don’t eat meat or dairy, but was able to order the Eggdiction sandwich without the bacon, sausage, or cheese. It wasn’t bad and I didn’t feel like the sandwich was missing anything major (although it would have been nice to have more veggies). The service was subpar, but the place didn’t strike me as a location that would have great service. The workers simply did what was required of them: took my order and my payment. No more, no less. I went there during the pandemic so indoor seating was not available. I was happy enough to sit outside at the two tables they had because the weather was nice. One thing that did kind of make my experience a little less than ideal was the fact that there was no bathroom available to me. Restaurants that offer any kind of seating without having bathrooms available just get of my nerves. The point of having seating is that you want to provide patrons the option to stay and eat and if you expect to have live, human patrons then you’ll need a bathroom. Don’t set patrons up for a fail like what I experienced. A word of caution to all my small-bladdered friends: don’t dine in. Overall, my experience was okay. I think if I go back I would do carry out to try their...
Read moreSmall,"local" diner. I worked for a year at a neighborhood diner like this growing up so I bypassed the fast food places and bagel shops to see how this place was. No frills, old but solid diner style breakfast food. Run by a friendly older Korean couple.
I ordered the breakfast with corned beef hash. It came on a styrofoam plates, the eggs over easy were spot on. The home fries were crispy on the sides they needed to be and soft without being too mushy. Toast was just browned enough (wish there was a bit more butter). Coffee was good, typical commercial Bunn/century machines found everywhere, but I like my coffee without a scorched/burned taste and this one did right by me. Small fridge to the right had half and half and pre sweetened creamer (wish they had almond or soy milk also).
Looking around it looks like they cater to a lunch crowd as their there true drink fridges were stocked with all kinds of bottles drinks.
For those requiring a new fancy place, this isn't it. The old linoleum tile must be original from the early 70s and while the tables as chairs are clean, it reminds me of the OLD diner I worked at where heavy is ages everything quickly.
This is out of my way, but if I'm in the area, I'll stop by...
Read moreThis place should be 3 stars at most and this is only because the people seemed nice. This was also the first time when I did not finish food I bought out.
I got a bulgogi bibimbap, pork puns and kimchi pancakes. The kimchi pancakes were mostly thick regular dough (rather than kimchi) and dripping with oil. Meat in the pork buns was mostly fat and the buns themselves looked dry and store bought rather than house-made. Gochujang that came with the bulgogi bibimbap consisted mostly of oil, and did not have paste consistency. The whole bibimbap was pretty sad. Plus everything comes out in takeout containers even if you dine in.
Next time, I'd rather go to an H-mart and buy kimchi pancakes and a...
