Update in response to owner: I don't think GrubHub is responsible for how the order is bagged. You put too much into one bag. There was also excessive sauce in the spicy teriyaki. The spilling and the tumbling of the salad into the spilled liquid is a result. The GrubHub driver also didn't choose to call a bit of lettuce a "salad" - salad generally means more than just lettuce, even if it's just some carrot and shredded cabbage for color. GH also didn't make the sweet and sour chicken overcooked. You may be right that GH is slow and maybe I should consider other services but these things, I think, can't be blamed on them.
I've learned my lesson, don't buy from any Teriyaki place, no matter how highly rated. I don't know if you hate GrubHub or customers but I'm not inclined to be a repeat customer.
Sloppy, sticky mess in the bottom of the bag - you stacked WAY too much in there, cartons tumbled (salad almost fell into the sticky pool) and the spicy teriyaki leaked everywhere. Don't put so much in a single bag. If you need a bag charge, I'll pay it. Salad means more than lettuce. If you're selling lettuce, say so. "No dressing" means "no dressing". If you are food fascists who don't accept changes, just put "NO CHANGES, STUPID CUSTOMER" on your ordering system (and I'll go elsewhere.) Sweet and sour chicken: Overcooked chicken, soggy breading. Hot and spicy chicken teriyaki: Too much sauce, it made a sloppy mess in the bag. Stir fried veggies: Basic, ok. Egg rolls are greasy...
Read moreOrdered egg rolls, egg drop soup, and bulgogi. Egg rolls are 7 dollars for TWO and they're just wholesale frozen/fried egg rolls - worth less than a dollar a piece to make. They're not bad, but you can get them elsewhere for cheaper. Egg drop soup was inedible. I bought it because I wanted something neutral for my stomach but it was absolutely packed with onions. It also had peas and carrots for some reason. Ended up tossing it. The bulgogi is ok. The price is right though. A lot of places charge several dollars more for it. Rice was a bit tough, not sure if it was sitting for a while or if it lacked some moisture when being cooked.
For the price you can go somewhere else and get...
Read moreI have been going to this place for takeout for over 15 years. The food has been consistently good. My family favorites are the teriyaki chicken, pork yakisoba, pad thai, sweet and sour chicken, and a side of prawn tempura. There are many more items on the menu, but we have not tried them -- my wife and kids are particular about having their favorites. The restaurant is small and can be busy around dinner time -- call in your to-go order beforehand. Tip: Depending on who answers, the person's mastery of English may not be the best. Speak slowly and be...
