FireFox & CM Chicken — Restaurant in Kentwood

Brought two boys to try their fried chicken and ordered the original flavor thinking they were not spicy but they were. There was no spicy sign on the menu indicating the original would be spicy. So we ended up packing everything and everyone up and left the place since my boy had nothing to eat. The most upsetting parts were 1. It listed the price based on the amount of chicken. We ordered 4 pieces wings and drumsticks. We ended up getting 4 pieces wings and 3 drumsticks because they told us the drumsticks are bigger so it would be less. I don’t mind I got less drumsticks but I do mind not being told when I ordered; 2. I ordered the rice cake dish and I was excited for the fish cake in it. There were two kinds and one said no toppings. After I expressed I didn’t want it too spicy the person who took my ordered suggested me to order the Yammi Bok Ki which was the less spicy version. I asked if that one came with fish cake too since it said no topping. He said it came with fish cake too just less spicy. So I went for it. And there was no fish cake in it. I went back and asked him why no fish cake and he said “oh yeh you need to add that if you want the fish cake”. I questioned him and say he told me it should come with fish cake too but he said “no, you have to add it”. Speechless. Will...

We’ve been to a CM chicken in VA and it was good so I got so excited when I saw that GR had CM Korean chicken! Wow…..We were blown away how amazing their food was…!!!

All of their wings (Soy garlic, Curry and Garlic spicy) were so crispy and delicious. We would’ve been just so happy with that but they went above and beyond with their fried rice, fried shrimp, TTEOKBOKKI and fresh kimchi!!!! I mean…I’m a sucker for good TteokBokki (Spicy rice cake+fish cake) and it was soooo good!!! That Mango lemonade was so yummy, too..!! Literally EVERYTHING WAS ON POINT and one more important thing…food came out really fast…! We were so surprised how fast it all came out 🤯

We actually gave our cash tips to the cook because we had to acknowledge her :) We got to speak with the owner & the manager. They were good/genuine people. I was so proud of them thriving in GR with Korean food.

Stumbled upon this place on a Saturday afternoon while we were discouraged driving around trying to find somewhere to get lunch without a long line, packed drive-thru, etc. What a delight this find was! My partner and I each had stonebowls - mine was beef bibimbap, his was the beef bulgogi. I'm always inclined to have stonebowls anyway, though our order was influenced by the fact that the only menu items we saw when we came in were their list of (maybe about 10?) stonebowl options. After we ordered and sat down, another couple came in and in conversation with the cashier/owner, realized the full menu on the giant screen right up front had been off. So, there is a full menu we didn't even see, but our stonebowls were still exceptionally satisfying. SO much food, so fresh, and so delicious. I will definitely be coming back and exploring the rest...
