This is a small restaurant. Not quite tiny but big enough for the purpose. There really isn't much of an atmosphere. It's clean and brightly lit.
I order a #2 Gio Cuon (Spring Rolls) and the #15 Pho Chin, Well cooked beef and rice noodles. The Gio Cuon was yucky, I did not like it at all. Just a weird taste that wasn't for me. The Pho Chin was excellent. I put in some hot oil, which certainly spiced it up. The base broth was amazing, so much flavor. The beef was very tasty. The bowl is very big and only $7. I was filled up with just the Pho.
The service was not great, in fact it was below average. The place wasn't busy either. When I first got the it took a couple of minutes to get a menu. Once I did I barely had 30 seconds before a guy was going what number? I knew I wanted Pho, but needed time to pick which one. When I did pick he had trouble understanding the number I said. He then disappeared to never be seen again. My Pho got dropped off and was never asked how it was. It took for ever to get 1st water refill. 2nd refill was much faster. While nobody was the least bit of rude it was a dry atmosphere personality wise.
One other different thing was Vietnamese chop sticks seem thicker, which took some getting used too.
Overall I'll give 4 stars due to the excellent Pho. Would I return? I think I would. I'd like to try #41 Bun Bi Cha Gio, shredded pork and egg rolls with vermicelli. Or #48 Com/Con Tam Xuon, Pork Chop with steam rice. The prices here are great. I'm pretty sure everything...
Read moreIf I could I would give this place 0 stars. This place has very terrible service. The waitress will take your order but will not bring the food until reminded several times. My daughter had to go get her own drink from the fridge. I had to remind her a second time about the bubble tea we ordered. Be prepared to be served by seniors....very sad....they should be home relaxing & enjoying life. After about an hour we finally got our food. We quickly ate & paid for our food. The waitress came outside asking where's her tip....at that moment I just couldn't believe what she had just asked. I kindly explained I paid for the food we ate & I was not happy about her serving 6 tables first before ours their foods while my family was still waiting for ours. Very bad service. If you have a full day to wait for food....this place will be great choice for you....otherwise go somewhere that will appreciate your business. The food was not all that good as the reviews claimed. We had better pho at other...
Read moreI was totally mistaken by the google reviews that claim this restaurant is a good place to dine in. I might have been unlucky or the people were being way too generous with their reviews on this restaurant. I will be extremely reluctant to revisit this place and would not recommend to anyone due to two reasons. Foods were not so good as praised in many reviews. Broth of pho was too sweet and pancakes were too greasy. Overall quality of food was subpar compared to other Vietnamese restaurants in West Michigan. Service was terrible. One of the servers (older lady) was rude. She never greeted or communicated with proper manners. She never made an eye contact when taking orders, never said a word even my wife and I said ‘thank you’ multiple times. She was totally ignoring us and made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable for the whole time. Hope this review helps the restaurant to improve. I wouldn’t recommend this...
