First Wok — Restaurant in Keokuk

Not going to lie I'm giving this restaurant one star. The reason being is because of the dried chicken. If you look at the picture i posted my chicken is two different shades of brown one of them almost being burnd and black. The chicken tasted as if it was reheated and frying grease. It was burned and dry. I can clearly tell that it was precooked and cooked again. I was very disappointed in this. I also ordered the happily family mixed meat and vegetables which was pretty good. I would give them 3 stars but for them to serve chicken like that means that they don't care about their customers service and what they are serving to the public. First wok. The food and service is excellent. The portions are extremely large. The quality of the food is excellent. And the low cost for what and how much you're actually getting totally makes up for the outdated building! I reluctantly gave it a 4 star on the atmosphere just cause new customers may come and be shocked by the outdated appearance. It may actually need a 1 or 2 star there. I dont think its changed in nearly 30 years. BUT,!!! I would really hate to do that to one of the remaining small family own business. In town and in the mall. Been coming here for two years. I need to order their vegetable chow mei fun at least once a month. I get cravings for it; it's one of my favorite comfort foods. The vegetables are perfectly juicy and crunchy and flavorful. It's consistently perfect. The service is fast, polite, and professional. Sometimes when I get there before my food is ready, I watch the cooks work and I am amazed by how fast they are, and I have worked in food service before.
