I got a Philly Cheesesteak and it was very small for being a 12inch sub. I ordered a whole sub asking for half to be wrapped to go and they only gave me 1/2 with very little mayo on it. I asked where my other half was and they said they had to make it(for an entire sub that was the same kind?). I asked for extra mayo when I ordered it, but the brought me a little cup and charged me $.79 for it. Service was not good as we sat there waiting for drink refills but no one came around. When the girl finally came around to ask if we wanted a refill, she said, "Would you like it to go?" ...well, I would like one for here to drink. She gave my daughter one to go and charged her $.30. They were not busy but had 4 employees with one sitting at the counter on his phone(not on break). For 1 whole(very skinny, smaller than 12inch)sub, one Gyro, and 2 orders of fries(we had a free coupon for both of these!) and two iced-teas the bill was almost $32.00(no tip). While the flavor was good as was the bread on the sub, it was quite expensive for the little we got! We drove 25minutes to go try them....doubt we will ever go back. The second half of my sub was given to me in a styrofoam box to go, which I ate the sub there because I was still hungry! The funny part? The girl at the register said they are opening another shop in the old Miamisburg Stacked Pickle building. She said they didn't last long because the food wasn't good and the service was even worse, she heard! My daughter and I laughed in the car because their service(Steak Thyme) was AWFUL! (And yes, we had dined at SP, and had a friend that was a server there). Sad because I love the variety they had...
Read moreVery good food when they get it to you, just sometimes they are very unorganized. I see different people now behind the grill all the time and it doesn't work as well as they are thinking I guess. When I first found this place two guys ran in all the time, with popularity they obviously needed more staff but some of the people they found aren't very good at the job. Been told 20 minutes a few times and sometimes they are a little late, this last time I went in at 20 minutes, at 25 they started cooking my food, 15 minutes later I get my food, all the while cooking and finishing other food that then sat waiting for pickup. So I wouldn't stop if you want food in a timely manner cause usually you wait like youre at a Friches or something. Food is 5 stars for its type though, but this is about full service.
Update 1 week later, as you can see they responded which shows they care but unfortunately I won't take them up on the offer, I feel you should always put your best into what you do and sometimes things don't go as planned. Instead I hope they correct this issue and possibly expand as they make great food and ill continue to pay full price, once they get everything down to a science on the service part I'll definitely stop in 2x weekly...
Read moreMy family had dined in previously on a few occasions and with the exception of needing to remember bring our own packets of Equal or Splenda (this place only carries Sweet & Low!) we had been O.K. with the food:usually baked potatoes and appetizers. I ordered carry out for the first time and when I went to pay I was charged several dollars more than the price I had been quoted online s half hour before.. I asked why and the associate at the window asked a manager/owner (?) and he informed me it was because of my "extras". No, as I hadn't ordered "extras". He told me I did. I replied that I could show him my entire order on my phone at which point he said it was because they had raised their prices and hadn't changed them online yet. So he again quoted me the higher price to which i replied" I will pay the advertised price or nothing at all" with this I was told they would do it just this one time. C'mon, fix your prices and don't lie to customers.! I didn't have "extras" and he knew it and to try to charge a higher rate when they can't even bother to change their online menu is really unprofessional & it leaves the kind of bad taste with customers that food...
