Michaleno's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Kewaskum

My lady and I went here for lunch. It was a smooth ez experience to order online and stop by shortly after to pick up a freshly prepared hot meal. At a reasonable price. This place pairs well with an inexpensive coffee at coffee corner and while you sip away, you dream up a pizza order and make it.

I loved the calzone 10 years ago. And I love it just as much now. While I do think the marinara sauce would be hitting with some extra love, they do give you a lot and it is not bad at all. I could imagine this sauce with just a touch more seasoning, maybe a little parm on the side or mixed in, and maybe a slightly thinner sauce. If that was paired with many of the options this menu I would have given it a 5 star. The other changes that could have made me give this a 5 star...

An option to add a few meatball chunks to a pepperoni calzone. Maybe you could special request that. We wanted Sausage and meatball. Not a big deal. Because the calzones cheese flavor and crust situation were amazing.

Another area I'd like to see some value added is the mozzarella sticks. I felt like for the price. Getting 1-2 more sticks would be amazing. I mean there's certainly enough sauce for liken 10 sticks. But you only get like 6 or something. I just feel like I want some way to get more value in the appetizer department. Like say if I spend 15 dollars or more on pizza and calzones. Then maybe you can throw me a bone and offer an extra mozzarella stick. Even if it was at a reduced price. Or if we buy all tbat, and some extra sauces. And another appetizer. Offer us a free bonus on one of the appetizers. To encourage our larger meal. Just seeing a few extra mozzarella sticks would have really won me over.

That being said, they were delicious. The breading doesn't initially slap. The crunch is good. But once you start biting into the cheese. The sticks become amazing. Very good. The cheese blends with the breading amazingly. I do think there is room for improvement when it comes to appetizer value. Even if it was a customer rewards thing.

And possible room for more flavor in that marinara sauce and the crust of the mozzarella sticks.

Overall this is my go to pizza place for now after all these years away.

Meatlovers here I come.

And the breaded cauliflower was also spectacular coming from a guy who doesn't like breaded vegetables.

I do hope this location can bump up to a 5 for me. With fast food the price it's at this pizza place almost dethroned other places value proposition... almost

edit: id really like to give michalenos a 4.5 but it is not an option. they did give us a coupon which gives me that extra value i was looking for with my first order. problem is it only lasts 2 weeks. if that coupon lasted a month, i would probably change this review to a 5 star. i also think if youve spent nearly 30 dollars or more id stll like a way to pay for (at a reduced price) a couple extra of the coveted appetizers, like mozzerella sticks, and...

Ok, Here's The Deal...I Live in Campbellsport and They are IN Kewaskum, The Next Town Over. The Good Thing About Them is They Deliver and Their Drivers are Always Friendly and Polite...It is Basically a Walk in Shop So You Can't Really Say Much for the Decor...So It's Unfortunately the FOOD That gets the 2 Star Rating....uggghhhhhhh I Have Had Their Ribs..and The Rib Meat Tasted Very Old...They Did However Credit me...But I didn't Want their Ribs Anymore lol...I Have Ordered Salad...and They Mound Really A Ton of Raw, Sharp onion on Their Salad that Can Be Over Powering So Beware they are not Sweet Onion. I just Ordered Their Steak Sub Extra Meat and Asked For Fried Onion...They Don't Fry onions for Their Burgers or Sandwiches...Im like...why can't you get an Electric Frying pan and Accomidate your Customers...I might Send them one on Amazon...The Steak Sub Not only Had Out Dated Stale Meat, it Had No Taste or Season on it and it was that Flat compressed Store Bought Crap that I Took One Bite and Spat out...I Kid you not...I ended up Giving it to my Cats...I didn't want to Complain again for them to Think I wanted Free Food...I just wanted Tastey Hot Fresh Food. So I have A Saying...Fool me Once...Shame on You...Fool me Twice...Shame on Me...I will No Longer Punish my Taste Buds from Ordering from there and to be Honest I believe The Health Department Should Pay them a Visit to their Cooler and Check THEIR OUT DATED FOOD. Living in Kewaskum is a challenge when it comes to pizza delivery. Being that the two choices we have are this place and Marcos in West Bend. We thought last night to order here and then after we waited an hour and 45 minutes for it to come (we also live less than a mile away) I remembered why we stopped ordering here. I understand not having the staff…what I don’t understand is not even getting a courtesy call saying there is a delay when the email sent clearly stated 55-75 minutes (6:25pm-6:45pm) and then it showed up (kind of warm) at 7:17pm. I ordered at 5:30 :(. Totally my fault for trying to order local and give a second chance. Lesson learned, if I want pizza delivered that I should order Marcos…. If you take back anything from this post Michalenos, take back to your team that communication is essential and could have avoided this review. A simple two second phone...
