Italian Touch — Restaurant in Keyport

I've only been here once (Oct 9th, 2023) and through an app called, "TooGoodToGo" (awesome app for pizza and bagels, mostly) just to see if they were any good.

Well, I must say, I was sated after eating what they served me... and all for $3.99.

What did I get? 2 plain slices (important to know if a place can make a decent plain slice), 2 Sicilian plain and 1 deep dish pepperoni slices. So, 5 slices and I wound up sharing one with the cleaning woman at my office (Bell Works in Holmdel).

I'm from Jersey my entire life (except for that stint in Florida during Covid for 3 years... No, not in prison, but Florida to me IS a prison in itself) and so there's Tri-state area NJ/NY pizza and then there are the other 48 states we have to put up and who try to imitate what pizza is.

So this review is ONLY for pizza here and with that, I will be going back here again.

Staff was nice, very cool woman named Bri who served me and the place felt like they knew the neighborhood and their regulars.

I'll be giving this place a 2nd try in the near future for a follow up.

Food is incredible their delivery service is abysmal. The times we have ordered delivery they have consistently come 2 hours late or more despite multiple calls to the location about our food. Of which is always met with "It's going out the door now". I completely understand backing your employees when you mess up every so often but when it consistently is a problem that is no longer a bad day but rather just plain lying to the customer and providing bad service. It makes me not want to order anymore. Basically pick up yourself or dine in since the pizza is good. Unfortunately not every person has that capability and so I would not recommend if you need accommodating by the use of delivery.

Edit: Following contact with the restaurant in our recent order, they were very cooperative and felt bad about what keeps happening. This food is very good. I am just somebody who values honesty and transparency when it comes to service. I look forward to seeing how this may progress in the future. I was skeptical of trying this place out, as I've been a loyal customer of Angela's Pizza in Hazlet. A friend wouldn't shut up about the food so I gave it a try.

First off, the online ordering system is convenient. It notifies you from start to finish/ delivery of your food. Second, the food is amazing. I ordered a pizza, chicken caesar salad, chicken franchise.. you're not going to hear any complaints here, only compliments. Third; the way they wrap the food and deliver it in a pizza box keeps your food hot!

I have now ordered from here a total of 3 times just to see if I could find something to complain about and I'm happy to say that I don't. I cannot say anything but good things about this restaurant. From the ordering process, to the food quality, delivery process and the delivery guy, Italian touch is doing great things over there. I look forward to ordering with them many...
