We went to Nemo's and had an enjoyable experience sitting on the deck, overlooking the bay and a full moon was coming up. The atmosphere was a combination of romantic and fun. We all shared a bunch of appetizers. An avacado and peanut roll, some steamed dumplings and chicken tempora. The dumplings are fresh and the tempora was standard. The avacado roll was exceptional. It was surprisingly good. Not that I was concerned but how exciting could this be. Go there, try it and see what you think. I loved it. Each of us ordered something different and I tried a bit of everything. The sushi rolls are always fresh. We had the Philadelphia Roll, which is always weird but these had a crisp freshness and the smoothness of the creme cheese added something to the clean taste. The spicy tuna was incredibly fresh and SPICY. It was a nice spicy. The other plate was fried rice and shrimp. The shrimp had a sweetness to it and combined with the rice, made a delicious meal. Not interesting but tasty. The pad Thai with shrimp was bland. The person ordered it that way. It was tasty not spicy and the person enjoyed it. I like my Thai food on fire. My meal was killer. The Thai Pineapple Shrimp Chicken Fried Rice. I got it hair on fire hot. If you like hot Thai food, this dish was awesome. The freshness of the pineapple cooled off the spices. The chicken was tender and the shrimp was sweet. The combo of flavors and the intense Thai heat, amazing. The dish always comes mild. I hate mild so I asked for hair on fire hot. I was not disappointed. Go to Nemo's, enjoy the polite wait staff and the amazing food. It's our destination place...
Read moreI've had the pleasure of dining at Nemo several times over the past year, and I must say that the food is consistently phenomenal. The staff has always been quick, courteous, and attentive on every visit to this restaurant. As it is a BYOB establishment, I usually bring my favorite beer or a bottle of wine, and the staff are always prompt in opening them and offering a glass if needed.
There are a few standout dishes that I highly recommend, including the Kimchi Fried Rice and any of their sushi rolls. If you're unsure which sushi roll to choose, I suggest trying the Dragon Roll, Fireman's Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, or the Spicy California Roll. However, regardless of what you order, you can be assured that the food is amazing.
One potential downside to this restaurant is the parking situation. The street is often quite crowded, and the municipal lot across the street through the alley can be equally congested. While parking around the corner down by the water is usually the best option, it may not be accessible for individuals with disabilities due to the walking distance involved.
Overall, Nemo is a fantastic restaurant that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a great dining experience. From the excellent food to the attentive staff, it never...
Read moreThe mrs. and I stopped by this restaurant after a nice walk around Keyport. The weather was beautiful and we wanted to eat outside somewhere. We noticed their deck from the harbor and decided to check it out. When we got in the place was clean and seemed hospitable. We asked to sit outside and were told by the server that the tables were reserved and the wait would be an hour. No sweat we didn't have reservations and this was the second place we tried with the same result. So we decided to stay and sit inside. We were close enough to have a view of the deck anyway. We started with the Eel Salad. It was the best dish of the entire meal. The eel was prepared well and the sauce was a great balance between the vinegar and sweet flavors. We next had the chicken skewers. They were good. The sauce was sweet, some kind of Asian honey flavor. The mrs. ordered the Cashew Shrimp and I had 2 special rolls. The sushi was beautifully presented. Taste was a 3.5 out of 5. The issue came with the shrimp dish. They forgot to put it in and we had to wait for them to prepare it. It was annoying but these things happen. For the price of $75 it didn't stand out but if you want some decent sushi and a great view of the harbor go...
