Read moreMy youngest daughter attends WVU - Potomac State College (agreat very small college for a kid who needs that type of community environment - it has been great for my daughter - se is an RA at one of the dorms now - I never would have guessed in a million years that that would happen and apparently she is the best one on campus, so that's awesome). One bad thing about Keyser, WV overall is the lack of anything good for food , i mean like RERALLY good and not too expensive. But, Queen's Point is a highlight for the kids on campus, and it is a place my daughter and I always go to when we visit her on weekends sometimes. The service is top notch, they don't rush you when ordering, they smile and are pretty cool to deal with, the food is really, really good and always prepared right. I had this roast beef sandwich which was just AWESOME! If you happen to ever be in Keyser, WV it is the ONLY place to go for a nice coffee, breakfast, or lunch. Every now and then they are closed for a special event, but that has only happened to us one time, so usually it's great. My daughter goes there every Sunday morning with her friends. I guess it's a "thing" now - a regular's gathering. Being an RA she has made a lot of friends this year, which I am so happy about. I really need to be reviewing the Potomac State, right? Maybe I will do that next. Anyway, check out this restaurant/coffee shop (love the vibe inside too, the outside is misleading because the inside is really...
Read moreVery nice coffee shop with separate bar room that opens during evenings, great atmosphere. The actual building interior feels like a labor of love and the decoration is unique, inviting, and feels very relaxed. The staff is friendly and the wifi is solid.
The food is good, typical coffee shop pricing I think. I'm not a coffee connoisseur so I can't speak towards the coffee quality beyond saying that the lattes I order have always been a 10 in my book. There's lots of options to choose from, too.
Coffee shops haven't had a very successful history in Keyser in the time I've lived in and around the area and before this place opened up I'd been pining for a good coffee shop after getting used to frequenting them when living around DC. I hope this place is a permanent fixture.
If you're thinking about stopping by but you're on the fence, try it! It's important to support small businesses and I don't want to go back to McDonald's and 7-11 being the only coffee options...
