Menos Mexican Grill Clear Creek — Restaurant in Killeen

Hello I occasionally goto Meños on Clear Creek in Killeen. When I feel I pay 40$ for a 2 person meal and have a pick up time from 10-15 minutes, I would expect when I return with the meals at Home, that they would be at least piping hot or at a degree that’s satisfactory. My latest order was 2 crispy tacos. When I got home, which is at least 3 minutes. The tacos were soggy and the crispiness turned to slightly aged and hard. The meal to me was prepared way in time frame, and hardened to the point it was not edible. The veggies soggy and wilted. The meal seemed to have been sitting for hours. The portion size to me was way under the satisfactory point. You would think the plate that was given would be fresh, because it was a call to order and maybe made from order. Simple chicken tacos with rice. The rice portion was enough for a child like rationed out for the city really. I feel it’s the workers. If an order was made over the phone and you give the caller 10 -15 min.. then the meal Should be piping hot. And with the mouthfeel you’d expect. The tacos were aged on top and soggy on the bottom. That should’ve happen if I picked up on time. I love the food. There’s a reason I go there. There’s reasons why may people go there. But that meal was disappointing like the care was not for the patron paying for it. I’d rather have gone to a food truck and watch the cook prepare it in-front if you. You would then know - paying 40$ for 2 plates plus a margarita would be worth it. Opening the container to see the wilted aged hardened tacos was sad. It showed that the servers, the cook and the staff do not care. Just shut up and eat it - right? That’s not right! Yes this was my dish. The second meal was an enchilada meal. I’m not going to start with that. I did not pay exactly 40$ - it was at least 34$ Plus 3$ tip. Regardless who made it. So I also tipped the servers for a lousy experience. Expensive meal to be disappointed about it and waste money. I will try a different location. Maybe it’s the staff. The owner should read this to know how their patrons are treated. Today I had my fiancee go to the store at 3905 Clear Creek.

I wasn't feeling well and had a craving for their fajita chicken nachos which is what I usually get when patronizing this establishment... I love them and go almost every two days...

Ok here is the story: He ordered a half order of chicken fajita nachos and full order. (Remember I get these almost every other day....) When he got home.... Both orders were the same size....

I called to speak with a manager to inform her of my concerns and immediately she went into a defensive mode, not showing an ounce of being empathetic nor did she (Abrianna the manager) attempt to appear customer centric by listening. Instead...... She proceeded to tell me that she personally made the plates and knew that she made them correctly... I then attempting communicating that the plates were made with ingredients that were not fresh at all which is not what I have received in the recent past....

Final point..... I understand a restaurant having a down day.... People are working harder than ever now days and with all that's going on in the world the last thing you want to do is spend your hard earned money (28 dollars) for something you do not like it that was made wrong. I work in management and they could have listened and been open to a resolution!!!

This person Abrianna shouldn't be in management with her demeanor!!!! Horrible service which will bring down the restaurant!!!!!...

The food was great. Been here twice! The first time was a great experience with the service and staff. Visit number two was ok. The hostess that sat us down lack customer service. Had this nonchalant facial expression that made you feel like you were bothering her. Went to clean a booth and the booth was still dirty. She ended up pushing all the food under the table and on the seat. Which made the seats dirty and beneath the table dirty. Sat us in table but the table wasnt fully cleaned either. The areas by the window were FULL of flies. Finally the waitress came with our drinks and wanted us to order while she held in her hands another table drinks order. So I told her to give us a minute so that she can go and deliver another tables drinks order, versus holding them there while we decided what to eat. Not sure if we will be coming back to this location. But the food was amazing, although the order was wrong. It took the waitress anywhere from 10-15 minutes to bring additional drinks or bring something that we had asked for. The staff and establishment...
