N.Y. Rouge — Local services in Killeen

I have yet to eat here because I live out of state, but believe me when I say that when I go back to Killeen I’m trying EVERYTHING! I personally know the chef behind the amazing products that are displayed and I know without a doubt the food is amazing. When I lived in Killeen before there was a N.Y. Rouge Stanley used to cook in the dining facility we worked at. He’d always get in trouble for what we called in the military as “jungle cooking” because he refused to serve any bland products to our diners! He made sure everything he put on the serving line was made from love and care. Additionally he would host events at his house WEEKLY after working full shifts from 4:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.! He would always ensure his “family” away from his family had quality and tasty meals and I always enjoyed whatever he cooked up and made sure I left with my to-go plates!

Let me tell you they will not disappoint! Let me assure you this is not a job for them. This is a passion. That alone will give you that extra flavor to ignite those dead taste buds that ate on the same stuff when you decide to eat out.

We ordered the island beignets. They came with a spiced pineapple foster sauce. The beignets were fresh, fluffy, pillowy heaven and the sauce was the perfect compliment. I didn't get a picture because they were demolished as soon as I set the box down. The price was reasonable. The service was professional yet friendly. Definitely ordering again and can't wait to try...
